What to Know
Elon Musk has never been supportive of his daughter Vivian Wilson‘s transition, and now, he’s confirming that he actually made his tantrum over it everyone’s problem. Vivian made headlines again this week for appearing in Rihanna’s 2026 Fenty Pride campaign, and it seems like her dad can’t stand it. In fact, the opportunity even allowed him to admit that, if not for her transition, he may never have adopted his more conservative political beliefs.
One of Elon’s fanboys brought the theory to his attention.

Vivian is having a successful moment, so of course, Elon and his followers had to make it all about them. Responding to a post on X about Vivian becoming the face of Fenty’s Pride collection (and looking good doing it), a man who goes by Syd Steyerhart on the app made an observation about Musk’s politics that some have assumed was true for a while now.
“We should never forget that if not for Vivian, Elon Musk never would have gotten involved, never would have purchased Twitter, Kamala Harris would be President and the Left-wing would have total instrumental control over the construction of Skynet,” he wrote.
Elon confirmed the theory was true.

Even though Elon wasn’t even tagged in the original post, he found it, and replied to Syd, simply writing, “true.”
So it really was Vivian’s transition that became the catalyst for Elon becoming a conservative influencer (and former leader of DOGE) all along?
That’s more than a bit ridiculous, but as long as we’re all on the same page here…
However, this is a grown man (and one of the richest and most people on earth) we’re talking about. He could have done literally anything else, including but not limited to supporting his daughter in her transition, but instead, he chose to help the Trump administration cause major chaos. Thank for nothing, Elon.
Vivian remains unbothered by her dad.
Growing up with Elon Musk as a dad seems to have made Vivian a bit more resilient to comments like these — or she has really, really good media training and has learned to ignore just about everything her father says about her (or anything else) these days.
Fortunately, this hasn’t stopped her from being proud of her latest modeling accomplishment, just like she should be. Working with Fenty is a huge deal, especially at just 22 years old.
“Trans bodies are so hated on and so demonized,” Vivian told Out magazine of her new gig last month. “I think it’s very important that queer people are very visible. To do this campaign where trans bodies are celebrated is very important.”
She’s absolutely right — she (and the rest of the queer community) deserves to be celebrated, no matter what her estranged dad’s personal beliefs are. Hopefully, she’s just tuning out all of Elon’s noise. It’s not worth it!
