To some Saved by the Bell fans, Mark-Paul Gosselaar will always be Zack Morris, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. So when Gosselaar appeared on-stage at an event in short shorts and a crop top and proceeded to show off his muscles, it was a moment that had people wondering what the heck Zack Morris was doing there and whether or not A.C. Slater would be making an appearance too.
Yes, we all know that Gosselaar has had a myriad of other roles over the years after the iconic Saved by the Bell ended. But it was an iconic show for a reason, and it put the actor on the map. Still, the TikTok video showing Gosselaar on-stage with his memorable Hooters-style outfit had people reminiscing about Zack.

In the TikTok, Gosselaar is at the 2026 Bell Media Upfronts event in Toronto, Canada in June 2026. He’s sporting a very cropped crop top, what can only be described as washboard abs, and short shorts. Of course what some are really talking about is what’s in those shorts, though most people commented on the video with exclamations of “holt crap” and surprise at what Gosselaar looks like now.
Elsewhere on social media, including a Reddit thread about Gosselaar’s appearance at the event, users took the opportunity to respond to his outfit and, ahem, certain body parts, with gifs. It’s the universal language of the internet, really. Well, that and eggplant emojis commented at just the right time. But all of those are relevant to Gosselaar at the Bell Media Upfronts event.
“The gasp I gusped omg,” one TikTok user commented on the video of Gosselaar strutting his stuff on-stage.
“Good grief he ain’t no joke,” another wrote.
Someone else added, “Saved by the Bell Facebook page reposted this. I had to come find original video! Holy moly!”
He joked about using prosthetics for his role.

Others commented on the video to point out that they believe Gosselaar’s shorts and, well, what’s underneath them, in addition to his abs, are all prosthetics used for his workplace comedy series Bulges. The show takes place at what is essentially a male Hooters restaurant, thus, Gosselaar’s revealing outfit with the crop top.
On the red carpet at the Bell Media Upfronts event, Gosselaar told a reporter that “it’s all prosthetics and fillers and things like that” when it comes to his “eight-pack” and everything else on display in his Bulges outfit. He seems to be joking, though, which then begs the question of what exactly people on the internet saw when they got a look at the video of him in costume.
Users on Reddit called Gosselaar an “eternal baddie” and a “zaddy.” Which, going by the video alone, sort of checks out.
He did try to revive his ‘Saved by the Bell’ character once.
For those who will always remember Gosselaar as Zack Morris above all else, that’s understandable. There was a brief revival of the series in 2020, which focused on an adult Zack and his wife, none other than Kelly Kapowski. But it was short-lived with just two seasons. And it’s unlikely that fans will see another revival quite like it. But if you’re looking to see more of Zack, er, Gosselaar, than ever before, apparently, Bugles is where it’s at.
