If you've purchased the popular Baby Shark swimming bath toys, this is important information for you. Zuru, the California-based toy company that imports the toys manufactured in China, is recalling 6.5 million of the full-size Robo Alive Junior Baby Shark Sing Swim Bath Toys and one million Robo Alive Junior Mini Baby Shark Swimming Bath Toys, according to a release by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

"When using the recalled bath toys, particularly in a bathtub or wading pool, a child can slip and fall or sit onto the hard plastic top fin of the shark, posing risks of impalement, lacerations, and punctures," the release says.
Zuru recommends that children stop playing with the toy immediately, and adults reach out to the company to return the toys and receive a $14 refund. The release has the instructions for what to do with the recalled product, including the website where you can submit your information for the refund.
The Baby Shark bath toys were sold between May 2019 and June 2023 at retailers including Target, Walmart, Amazon, Ross, and Walgreens.
