Do you ever go out to dinner with your partner or a friend and a heated argument between a couple erupts at a table nearby and you just immediately go silent so you can eavesdrop? This may not be the most polite thing for a person to do, but sometimes your nosiness just gets the best of you and you need to know what’s going on!
Well, it turns out that a good portion of us are feeling the exact same about a recent viral video that a camera operator caught during a World Cup match. Someone on TikTok posted the video that features what appears to be a rather intense moment between a couple and we are all extremely tuned in to try and figure out what was really going on between these two people.
The person operating the camera at this match has an eye for capturing drama.
A TikTok creator with the handle @cocoblvd shared a video that instantly has the world intrigued. At first, it seems like the camera operator simply caught a few fans having a good time at a World Cup match as they dance around a little and wave some flags with pride, but the caption of the video says it all: “Wait for it… I can’t believe the cameraman caught this moment.”
According to the New York Post, the camera operator was able to capture this captivating moment at the match against South Korea in Monterrey, Mexico. The camera moves in on some South African fans dressed in team merchandise when things suddenly took a turn.
The woman appeared to be having nothing but a good time when she looks over to the man that she’s with and notices that he’s looking at something on his phone. They appear to have some kind of exchange that’s borderline serious with a hint of playfulness as they both try to continue enjoying the game.
Unfortunately, things quickly took a turn for the worse.
The camera operator stayed on this couple until the bitter end.
As the man continues to chomp on his fries, the woman appears to be trying to either get some answers out of him or have an unexpected discussion that neither were really that prepared for.
At one point, things get to a level where she uses the flag she was playfully swirling in the wind just moments earlier to cover up both their faces while things escalate to an uncomfortable level between them.
In a moment of frustration, he appears to say to the woman, “Come on!” as she sits down next to a boy who appears to be with their party. At that point, she sits down in frustration while the man stays standing up but is bending over a few times to tell her a few choice words.
The last look of utter confusion and disbelief on her face as it looks like she just dissociates for a moment really leaves you with a pit in your stomach that can’t be ignored.
Whatever happened between these two, the internet is totally on her side.
It’s kind of a beautiful thing when the internet comes together when there’s viral moment that captured so many people’s attention. It’s really entertaining to choose sides and see where everyone stands.
For the most part, folks commenting on this TikTok video are fully on the woman’s side here. One person commented, “Noticed how he wasn’t having fun until he ruined her moment?😭😭.” Another person shared, “I don’t even care what’s happening, I’m on her side.” Solidarity, sister!
Others are super curious as to what this argument was actually about. One person wrote, “I neeeeeeed to know what was said in this exact moment.” Another individual in the comments shared, “I hope the algorithm brings me back for her story time, if she ever does one (im too nosy 😅).”
Others were all about reading the body language involved as well. Someone wrote, “And the audacity to do that little dancy dance after???” They’re likely referring to the moment in the video where the man appears to say something rather disheartening and proceeds to dance around for a moment while the woman looks completely stunned. Another person picked up his flushed cheeks. “Him turning pink means he really was doing something,” they wrote.
