It’s common for people to speculate on what the Duggars are up to, who is and isn’t pregnant, and which member of the family will shock the public next. But if you’re also a member of the family, albeit a more distant relative, speculating on the goings on of the adult Duggar kids is a bit messier.
So when Amy Duggar posted a TikTok about Joseph and Kendra Duggar on TikTok and added her thoughts on the possibility that Kendra is pregnant, it was strange. The video seems like something a bystander would post about the couple, both of whom are still dealing with legal troubles individually and together. But Amy, Joseph’s cousin, shared her thoughts on a possible pregnancy, and it was so out of pocket.

In Amy’s TikTok, she appears on the screen with a candid photo of Joseph and Kendra in the background. She says she is “not a judgy type of girl.” And then, she goes into speculation about Kendra being pregnant, based on the way she looks in the picture, which was taken from the side, and shows her side profile.
“I don’t judge anyone based on weight, their health, how they look at a store,” Amy says in the video. “I don’t judge, you know, how people raise their kids, childhood. I don’t judge. I’m not a judging person. I’m hoping that all of her clothes, all of her shirts especially, were dirty, and that’s why she’s wearing that shirt, because it looks to me like a maternity shirt. And that concerns me very deeply because, you guys, if she is with child, and I don’t want to start a rumor, this is just a picture that someone local sent to me. If she is with child, that means that she’s trapped even more, and that breaks my heart for her for the whole situation.”
She then slams it as “a classic move” for a Duggar son to “trap” their wife. She references Josh Duggar and his wife, Anna Duggar, conceiving a child before he was sent to federal prison. Amy also says in the video that she hopes Kendra isn’t pregnant, but apparently, she had to share some speculation anyway.
Amy also speculates that Kendra and Joseph were told to “act like everything is fine.”
“It’s wild to me that I can look at this photo and, like, I know I have memories with Joe, all kinds of memories,” she adds. “But I look at him, and he just looks like a stranger to me. I mean, he really is. And Kendra as well. But please tell me, y’all, that I’m not seeing what I think I’m seeing. Because if that’s the case, Lord help us all.”
Users criticized Amy Duggar for publicly speculating about a family member.
If anyone else had shared the same kind of video, it would be chalked up to Duggar fans or Duggar haters just wanting to speculate on these strangers’ lives. And to be fair, that is widely accepted on social media. But Amy is a blood relative of Joseph, and she even says herself in the video that she has so many memories with both Joseph and Kendra. Apparently, this is where some people draw the line, even Duggar haters.
“This is a reach,” one user commented. “And a weird post.”
Another added, “Look, I think they should both be behind bars, but this is reaching…for views. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was with child, but it wouldn’t be because of this picture.”
On a Reddit post about Amy making the TikTok, a user wrote, “I actually can’t imagine making trashy, speculative, paparazzi-esque posts about my own COUSIN. This woman has lost the plot.”
“I never particularly liked her but this is a new low,” another Reddit user commented on the post.
Joe and Kendra Duggar are facing charges together.
Joseph is facing charges relating to molestation allegations in Florida from 2020. In Arkansas, both Kendra and Joseph were arrested on charges involving second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree false imprisonment, according to The U.S. Sun. For that reason, people don’t quite understand why Joseph and Kendra would be seen out in public together. And that includes Amy, apparently.
