Breastfeeding is a wonderful act that can help strengthen the bond between mother and child. It doesn't come without a cost, however. Many mom struggle with the act.

Amanda is a mother of two. She shares daughter Nina and son Thomas with husband Thomas Sadoski. The lovebirds met while doing an Off-Broadway called The Way We Get By. Amanda gave birth to Nina in 2017 and relied on her friends for advice.

After getting helpful tips from her friends, she wanted to pay back the favor. In 2019, actress Claire Holt took to Instagram to share her tribulations, and Amanda was supportive.

“I gave myself two days off in the first week so I wouldn’t be scared and sad every time she woke up to feed,” Amanda responded in the comments. “And it helped so much. No guilt. Just pump and bottle. And then did both throughout. Less pressure. You’re not alone.”

Rachel McAdams

Rachel has two children with longtime partner screenwriter Jamie Linden. In 2018 she posed for Girls. Girls. Girls. Magazine using a breast pump. Claire Rothstein founder, editor, and photographer for the magazine, spoke out about the photo.

"This shoot was about 6 months post her giving birth to her son, so between shots she was expressing/pumping as still breastfeeding," Claire explained. "Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I can’t for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of. I don’t even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one person’s perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then that’s great."
