The Duggar family, including the nine sisters, spent over a decade on their reality television show 19 Kids and Counting, which first aired in 2008. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar parented 19 children: Josh, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace, and Josie. Their TLC show gave a look into the life of their big family and what it was like being raised in a conservative Christian household. But what have things been like since they stepped away from the entertainment spotlight and are leading more quiet lives? Here are what the sisters have been up to.

Jana leads a quiet life while Jill has been a little more vocal.

The oldest, Jana Marie Duggar, lives in her hometown of Tontitown, where she is a home remodeler. According to the Duggar family website, she collects plants and loves road tripping and traveling. Jill Duggar Dillard, the fourth child and second oldest daughter, married Derick Dillard and has since distanced herself from her family. She's spoken out a lot about her family's strict religious upbringing and experience with reality television, even releasing a memoir in 2023 titled Counting the Cost. She has three children.

Jessa lives in her home state while Jinger moved over 1,500 miles away.

Jessa Duggar Seewald is married to Ben Seewald. They have five children and live in Springdale, Arkansas. In February 2023, she revealed that she had a miscarriage between her last two kids. Jinger Duggar Vuolo is married to former professional soccer player Jeremy Vuolo. They live in Los Angeles and have two daughters. She was one of the first Duggars to speak out her family's upbringing. She also released a memoir in 2023 titled Becoming Free Indeed, which discussed the “cult-like tendencies” of the Institute in Basic Life Principles, or IBLP.

Joy-Anna has her own YouTube channel.

Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth is the ninth child. She's married to Austin Forsyth, with whom she has three living children and one child that was stillborn. They currently live in Arkansas, where Austin is a home builder and Joy-Anna shares her family life on their YouTube channel, Follow the Forsyths.

Johannah and Jennifer are both into art.

Johannah Duggar is the sixth daughter and is 18 years old. She leads a pretty private life, with hobbies that include playing volleyball and drawing, according to the family website. In 2018 she recorded an album called Happy Heart with her three little sisters, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace, and Josie. Jennifer Duggar is two years younger than Johannah. According to their website, she is an animal lover and the “most crafty” member of the family.

Jordyn-Grace and Josie are the youngest of the family.

Jordyn-Grace Makiya Duggar is the 18th child. On the family website, she's described as a “sweet-hearted, confident girl” and is said to love calligraphy, art, and fashion. The baby of the family, Josie Brooklyn Duggar, was born at 1 lb. 6 oz. Despite the health issues she's faced throughout adolescence, she is described on the family website as a talented musician and a “ball of energy.”
