In February of 2022, Amanda filed to end the arrangement, and it didn't take long for her plans to be set into motion. Judge Roger L. Lund granted Amanda's request in court in Ventura County, and her parents, who have acted as her conservators during this time, seem to be fully supportive of their daughter regaining her independence.

Amanda released a statement about the news.

Her lawyer, David A. Esquibias, shared Amanda's statement with People, and she focused on how grateful she was for the support of everyone around her.

"Following today's decision by the judge to terminate my conservatorship, I would like to thank my fans for their love and well wishes during this time. I would also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their support over the last nine years," she said.

She also gave fans an idea of what they can expect from her in the future.

"In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter," she continued. "I am excited about my upcoming endeavors — including my fragrance line — and look forward to sharing more when I can."

A fragrance line? That's definitely something different!

Amanda was also planning big changes in her personal life.

According to her lawyer, Amanda has decided to leave the sober living facility she's been spending most of her time in to move in with fiancé Paul Michael. They recently found a place to rent in Los Angeles more than two years after their February 2020 engagement.

It sounds like she has a lot to look forward to.

It might be the end of her conservatorship, but it's also a brand-new beginning for Amanda. Though she's mostly stayed out of the spotlight over the last decade, maybe that's all about to change? Either way, it's great to know that she'll be able to live her life independently on her own terms now that she is ready.
