The View cohost Ana Navarro slammed critics of Vice President Kamala Harris on July 25 while sharing a nude photo of former first lady Melania Trump on Instagram.
Since becoming the likely Democrat presidential nominee, Harris has faced numerous racist and misogynistic attacks, including from people calling her a “Jezebel” and insulting her for not having biological kids. The attacks, mostly appearing on social media and focusing on Harris’ purported dating history, have ran the gamut of euphemistic and explicit, and Harris’ defenders have taken note.
“Some Republicans are out there on TV and social media making vile sexual remarks about Kamala Harris and wanting to make her dating history an issue,” Navarro captioned the naked photo of Melania Trump, taken as part of a January 2000 GQ photoshoot, which shows the former first lady on a fur rug while wearing diamond jewelry and handcuffed to a briefcase.
'This country deserves a debate on real issues, affecting us all,' Navarro added.
She continued: “But you want to make this an issue? Bring it on.”
The Instagram post also included a photo of the Trumps at a party with sex traffickers Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
“I’ve never seen naked pics of Kamala Harris or her spouse. Kamala never partied with sexual predators,” Navarro continued. “You wanna go low? I’m not leaving one thing unanswered this time. Not a one. I’ll happily go 20,000 leagues under the sea.”
Harris' previous relationships are being questioned.
Harris’ attackers have focused on her past relationships with talk show host Montell Williams and former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, both of whom are Black, before marrying Doug Emhoff, who is white, in 2014.
In just one example, Laura Loomer, who attended the Republican National Convention, accused Harris, 59, of previously being a sex worker for “successful, rich, Black men” with whom she traded sexual favors for political power.
On July 24, conservative podcaster Alec Lace made similar accusations about Harris’ career during an appearance on Fox Business, referring to her as “the original ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl” — a nod to a viral video about sexual activity, which has since catapulted its star, Hailey Welsh, into social media fame.
