What to Know
At a recent Indiana Fever media day press conference, Caitlin Clark turned the tables on the reporters in the room — pulling out her film camera and asking all 33 of them to pose for a group shot. The clip went viral almost immediately, and the comments are all over the map.
In a super cute move, basketball star Caitlin Clark asks reporters to pose for a group shot.
Indiana Pacers and Fevers beat reporter, Scott Agness, took to his X account to share a singular moment that not a whole lot of media and reporters get the chance to experience. He shared a video of Caitlin Clark asking the media during a press conference for the Indiana Fevers to gather together for a photo.
In that moment, she asked 33 reporters and media members to pose together so she could capture this special moment on her film camera. She told the media in the room to “act like you like each other” and “smile.” She’s actually pretty good at telling this group of people what to do!
As she watched them try to gather together, she cheekily said, “if some of you don’t make it, don’t be mad at me. You don’t want to squeeze in!”
A lot of people in the comment section are absolutely enamored with this woman.

One person can’t help but ask the question, “How can you not love this girl?” It’s totally true, though. If you watched that video and weren’t absolutely charmed by her turning things around on the media in a very sweet way.
Another individual in the comments shared how Caitlin was actually the athlete who brought them back to watching basketball again. “She is so AWESOME.. Even if you are broke, you would use your last dime to see her play. What makes this scary is that it’s all natural. I stopped watching basketball for a while until she appeared on my screen during her senior year in High School. I’m hooked and will cheer for her no matter WIN/LOSE,” they wrote. Now, that’s some star power.
Of course, when it comes to women’s basketball, there are always going to be a few sexist people in the comments feeling like they’re having their little moment. One dude wrote, “There’s no way 33 people should be getting paid US currency to cover the WNBA…” What a lame take.
Caitlin might just have a future in photo journalism.

This was actually a fantastic display of how Caitlin is able to read and command a room, which comes in pretty handy for journalists.
Another person in the X comments couldn’t help but notice that her sweet moment perfectly captured “the budding journalist that she is.”
According to IndyStar, Caitlin will be getting behind the microphone from time to time for the NBC pregame season as a basketball analyst. Also, WNBA.com reported that Caitlin was credentialed as an Indiana Pacers photographer in late March, as you can see she sat on the sidelines with a huge camera capturing shots of the game.
Whatever this young woman has ahead for her in the game of basketball and sports journalism, we would like a front row seat to both!
