12 Celebrities Who’ve Achieved Billionaire Status

If you're a "regular person" (read: not a celebrity), it can be hard to imagine the kind of money that our favorite stars are working with. What is it like to have millions in the bank, travel by private jet, and never stress about paying the bills? Now think about what it must be like for those millions to turn into billions — and there are actually celebs out there living it.

Don't get us wrong — of course money can't buy happiness, but it sure can help! After all, we've seen billionaires like Kim Kardashian have a pretty good time on their luxurious vacations. And let's not pretend that Elon Musk isn't casually engaging in space travel, which is totally out of most people's reach.

Still, that doesn't mean we can't live vicariously through some of the world's most famous billionaires, especially the ones who are totally self-made and built their careers (and their riches) from the ground up, like Tyler Perry. Read on to find out which of your favorite celebs have achieved the coveted billionaire status.

Ye

After so many years of musical success and how quickly his Yeezy brand took off, it's no surprise that Ye (formerly Kanye West) has found himself a place among this elite company. In 2021, Ye made Forbes' billionaire list for the first time, clocking in at a net worth of about $1.8 billion.

Rihanna

She started off as a singer, and even though she topped the charts, Rihanna has really set her sights on her brand, Fenty, lately, selling makeup and lingerie and letting the cash pile up. As of August 2021, Forbes estimated that Rihanna is worth $1.7 billion.

Oprah Winfrey

Considering the kind of career that Oprah Winfrey has had, is it honestly surprising that Forbes considers her the wealthiest female entertainer in the world? The site estimates her net worth at $2.6 billion as of October 2021, and this acclaimed talk show host and philanthropist shows absolutely no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

You probably recognize Mark Cuban from Shark Tank, but he's also the owner of the NBA team the Dallas Mavericks — no big deal! The fact that he's also a billionaire helps, too. Forbes estimates his worth at about $4.5 billion. No wonder he's got cash to invest!

Director Steven Spielberg has brought us classics like Jaws, Schindler's List, and Jurassic Park and cofounded DreamWorks studios — and he's made bank in the process. Forbes estimates his net worth at around $3.7 billion. Not too shabby!

Tyler Perry

In 2021, director Tyler Perry also made the Forbes list for the first time now that he's finally crossed that $1 billion threshold. After working his way up from poverty, Tyler has now made a name for himself in TV, movies, and even theater.
