Josh Duggar’s Illegal Facebook Page From Prison Gets Taken Down by Blogger

Josh Duggar is currently behind bars, serving time in federal prison after being convicted of crimes related to his online activity. But is he still able to access social media despite that? It seems if he was, he may not be anymore, thanks to the work of one blogger and frequent Duggar critic.

A blogger helped get Josh's page taken down.

As Katie Joy of the YouTube channel Without a Crystal Ball explained, she discovered that Josh had a Facebook page that was still active that he could theoretically access while in prison, and by reporting the page, she was able to have it removed.

But how did this all play out?

Josh shouldn't have been allowed to have the account in the first place.

Though the account, which was used by both him and his wife, Anna, was created before Josh was in prison, Katie Joy stated in her latest YouTube video that Facebook rules say that anyone convicted of a sexual offense cannot have an account on the platform.

The page hadn't been updated since 2021, when Anna posted about the birth of her seventh child, Madyson, but it did have more than 100,000 followers.

It's possible that Josh could or has been accessing this page while behind bars.

Josh was recently sent to the Special Housing Unit at FCI Seagoville after he was caught using a contraband cellphone. Though he has since been released back into the general population, it's conceivable Josh could have had access to that Facebook page when the phone was in his possession.

Katie Joy added that it was a matter of minutes from the time she filed the report with Facebook to the account being removed from the site.

Josh will be forbidden from accessing the internet after his release.

As part of his sentence, not only will Josh have 20 years of probation to look forward to after his eventual release, but he also is prohibited from owning or using a computer with access to the internet without permission from the court.

Considering Josh's crimes involved possessing and receiving child sexual assault material, it's no surprise that this is part of the terms of his release.

Anna has been off of social media for a while.

In October 2022, Anna deleted her Instagram account and hasn't been heard from since. It doesn't appear she used this Facebook page anymore, but now, it's also gone for good.

Hopefully, this profile being removed will help keep kids safer online.
