She can put up a front all she wants when speaking with reporters at the White House, but Karoline Leavitt may have given in to internet trolls. For the trolls who continue to accuse her of her Photoshop fail of her 60-year-old husband, that’s a win if I ever heard one. Hey, it’s the little things that count, especially in this Donald Trump-run economy.
After the Halloween photo fiasco, Leavitt shared some family snaps to her Instagram Stories. Before the Stories expired, however, as they tend to do after a certain amount of time, users grabbed some screenshots that they believe prove Leavitt intentionally cropped her husband’s face out.
Per The Mirror, many believe Leavitt purposely edited the photos to keep her husband’s name out of everyone else’s mouths. Unfortunately, it didn’t work.

Karoline Leavitt might have let the trolls get to her after she shared pictures of her husband.
In the photo that was shared across social media, including in a post on X (formerly Twitter), you can see Leavitt’s toddler son and her husband in bed from her POV.
She wrote on the screen, “Coffee + play time in bed.” In the photo in question, which is no longer in Leavitt’s Instagram Stories, her husband’s entire head is cut out of the shot.
In any other instance, it would be an adorable snapshot of a little family enjoying a quiet moment together. But this is the press secretary, queen of snappy comebacks and, apparently, “yo mama” jokes directed toward professional journalists.
Unfortunately for Leavitt, she doesn’t get the courtesy of everyone gushing over her relatable mom moments.
Is this evidence that Leavitt learned from her mistake of being accused of airbrushing her husband’s wrinkles away in her family Halloween post in October 2025? Some people think so. I’m inclined to believe that, while the press secretary can certainly dish out insults and quips, she isn’t as adept at receiving them.
On X, when the user shared the screenshot of Leavitt’s beheaded husband (in the photo, of course), her critics were quick to fly to the comments and share their thoughts on Leavitt’s “dinosaur” husband and her attempts to protect him from internet comments.
“She didn’t want anyone to confuse it for her grandpa,” someone commented, on the reason for Leavitt’s potentially intentional crop job.
Another person wrote, “Because there’s a bigger age gap between her and her husband than her and her son.” Oof.
It looks like Leavitt did far more harm in cropping her husband’s head than she did in showing his face smoothed out to look almost like AI. Honestly, she can’t win at this point. But then again, for those who are ready to type their best insults toward her at the drop of a hat (or Instagram post), that’s the goal here.
