Kate Middleton Will Reportedly Play a ‘Pivotal Role’ During President Donald Trump’s State Visit to the UK

When President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump arrive in the United Kingdom for their official state visit on Tuesday, they may end up seeing a lot of Kate Middleton. According to what royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital this week, Kate won’t just be supporting King Charles and Prince William as the royals welcome the Americans — she’ll actually be playing a “pivotal role” in the visit.

Why? Because as the future queen, it’s a big opportunity to really put her in motion as a leading public figure in the world, not just the UK, especially since she and William haven’t made any big international trips of their own recently.

“It marks a pivotal moment in putting Catherine on the world stage,” Richard told the outlet. “It marks a turning point with Catherine making more high-profile appearances during this state visit, which is of the utmost importance to Britain, adding an extra special cachet.”

Another royal expert, Hilary Fordwich, agreed, adding that she believes that Will and Kate will be “highly visible and majorly significant” during this visit.

“William and Kate’s increased prominence isn’t at all by accident,” Hilary said. “It is carefully curated, highly intentional, and aims to cement their significance not just in the U.K. and U.S.’s special relationship, but the entire future stability and international importance of the monarchy.”

There have been previous rumors that Kate would be rubbing elbows with Melania during the visit, and another expert, Helena Chard, added to the buzz while talking to Fox.

“Princess Catherine is keen to continue royal duties with strength and purpose, ensuring that everything runs smoothly,” Helena said. “Her joint appearance with Melania Trump is sparking great interest. She will keep Melania busy, happy, and entertained.”

Meanwhile, the royal family is preparing for the visit, with the monarchy’s official Instagram account already sharing what the highlights of the visit are expected to be.

With a carriage processional, a visit to St. George’s Chapel to pay respects to the late Queen Elizabeth, and a state banquet, it sounds like the schedule will be a packed one.
