Photo Filter Faux Pas Reveals Kim Kardashian’s Real Skin Texture & Fans Are Shocked

Fans have grown so used to seeing a perfectly flawless Kim Kardashian on Instagram that an unfiltered and unedited photo of her has caught everyone off-guard. The reality star still looks as gorgeous as ever, but she's not quite as ageless in this new snapshot as we're used to seeing her look.

It all started with a series of photos from a February event.

Kim shared some images from a Dolce & Gabbana event on Instagram on February 28. She can be seen posing alongside various other attendees, looking like her normally tan and trim self while wearing a skintight snake print dress and matching choker.

Fans were inspired by Kim's look.

People took time to praise the mom of four for everything from her hair — her dark tresses have finally made a comeback after her platinum blonde Marilyn Monroe phase — and her sexy outfit.

"The best hairstyle on you," one person wrote. "Love the bangs."

Another celebrated the launch of D&G's new fashion collection, using the fire emoji to describe the clothes. "You look stunning, babe," the person added.

Then, a post by German influencer Leonie Hanne brought it all crashing down.

Leonie, a friend of Kim's, posted two selfies of the pair standing together. In one, Kim looks the same way fans have always seen her: expertly coiffed and without a wrinkle or bit of texture on her face. In the second shot, however, Kim's face appeared to be unedited, showing off the typical lines and wrinkles you'd expect to see on a 42-year-old.

Comments poked fun at Kim for her heavy-handed editing.

People were thrown by the sight of the seemingly unaltered photo of Kim.

"OMG, never seen Kim without all the editing and photoshopping," one person wrote.

Another joked that Leonie might find herself in trouble for not getting Kim's approval before sharing the images. "I guess this is your last pic with Kim, Leonie," the person joked.

Kim is just the latest celebrity to be outed by a missing filter.

A clip of Jennifer Lopez recently went viral on TikTok after someone claimed to have spotted the moment when Jennifer's face filter fell off her video, exposing the true texture of her skin.

Although we are firmly in the camp that it's never OK to comment on the way people look, we have to admit that all of the snarky comments being made about women of a certain age are likely the exact reason they feel like they need to filter and edit their lines away.
