A recent Skims purchase has turned into a massive joke in a TikTok video that's going viral. The TikToker was shocked by the size of the fabric on her new micro bralette and thong after the items arrived from Kim Kardashian's brand, and ran to her snack cabinet to show her followers just how small her new get-up turned out to be.
The woman shared the post with her nearly 40,000 followers.
The post contained a video of "Sarah" offering a warning for anyone interested in ordering the Skims set online.
"So, if you've been eyeing the Skims micro bikini and wondering about the size, these are tortilla chips for scale," she joked of the set which had been covered with tortillas.
The triangles on the bra are totally covered by the chips — that's how small these pieces are.
She offered a follow-up interview to explain how her micro thong became a snack inspiration.
Speaking with Insider, Sarah explained her viral clip. Apparently, the 28-year-old had already had great success with the regular sized version of the bralette, and "took a chance" on the micro version.
"I laughed very hard at how small it was," Sarah recalled. "I was surprised at how small the bottoms were, especially when I tried them on over clothes. It was all string."
After seeing her boyfriend's reaction, Sarah knew she had to share the tortillas with the rest of the world.
"My boyfriend Ryan and our best friend Sean were calling it the Dorito bikini when I wore the top initially," Sarah told Insider.
"We were crying laughing at the size of the bottoms, and he pulled the tortilla chips out of the cabinet and made a comparison. The chips were bigger than all of the fabric on the bikini."
The reactions to the video have been pure gold.
Obviously TikTok had a ball with the tortilla chip bikini, and filled Sarah's comments with hilarious takes on the look.
"Kim really used a bag of Tostitos for inspiration," one person wrote.
Another hilariously explained why the suit wouldn't work for them. "My big ol' chalupa could never," they wrote.
Kim has yet to comment on the viral TikTok.
While we don't think that Kim created the suit after a midnight snack of chips and salsa, we can't help but see the connection (side note: Kris, now is the time to hit up Tostitos for a brand deal).
Hopefully Sarah's TikTok served as a cautionary tale for anyone looking at the micro suit for themselves. It seems like it's not quite the "fits all bodies" look that Skims had promised it to be.
