People are genuinely surprised by Kim Kardashian’s ability to take something that should be fun and festive and turn it into something that is… not that. This year, to celebrate the holiday season, Kim’s brand SKIMS shared several videos featuring a nearly unrecognizable Santa Claus. The SKIMS Santa is spending some time at the SKIMS NYC Flagship store, where customers have the opportunity to take photos with him on some weekends leading up to Christmas.
The SKIMS Santa is nothing like your typical mall Santa though. Instead, in the words of many social media users, SKIMS chose to employ an “Ozempic beige” Santa.
Some fans were not impressed.
Because why did the SKIMS Santa look so…sad? The SKIMS Santa still sported a Santa suit and hat in the videos shared via TikTok, but the ensemble was beige instead of red. Clearly not approving of this stylistic choice, one person in the comments questioned, “Why is ur Santa not red?” while another wrote, “I don’t like beige santa.”
He sported a long white beard, but without the red suit, it just wasn’t the same. Many critics also thought he looked too thin, which is why they left comments like, “Don’t like ozempic Santa 💔” and “Guys did we forget to leave out cookies for Santa 😔.” In many people’s eyes, it’s truly a sad state of affairs when “even Santa’s on Ozempic.”

The SKIMS Santa also reminded many social media users of the “sad beige mom” aesthetic, prompting them to call him “sad beige santa.” This interpretation of Santa actually bothered quite a lot of people. “we are NOT making santa an ozempic beige mom 🤨” one person commented. Another wrote, “Not Santa gone clean girl.”
They urged Kim to stay away from Santa.

In one video, Santa explained that he was wearing an outfit that Kim sent him. Lots of people had the same reaction: of course Kim was behind this, and why can’t she just leave Santa alone?! Slamming Kim’s brand, one critic wrote, “Omg they take the color and fun outta everything.” Others who were clearly outraged by Santa’s makeover added, “NO! SHE GOT TO SANTA!!! 😫” and “WHERE IS COLOR? WHERE IS THE ACTUAL SANTA???”
And while Santa’s appearance at the SKIMS store was meant to be festive, critics didn’t see it that way. “Is the holiday magic in the room with us, or did it get lost?🙄” someone wrote.
Many of the critics were adamant that Santa needs to wear red. “Oh my, Santa’s clothing has been neutralized!” one of them commented. “He is now wearing the Skims Santa suit instead of the classic red. Christmas just ain’t Christmas without the classic red! I love Skims but we need the classic red!”
But some people didn’t hate it.
Though some people were actually begging Kim to let the SKIMS Santa wear red, others appreciated Santa’s SKIMS-inspired look. One fan who saw the vision wrote, “The fact that he’s wearing a sienna color Santa suit is the cutest ever.” Others called the SKIMS Santa “iconic” and said he was a “baddie.”
Still, many found the transformation completely unnecessary. After all, not all SKIMS products are beige-colored. “skims has a red christmas line… they didn’t need to beigify santa,” one person argued. But at the very least, Kim has a talent for sparking conversations; she even managed to make Santa’s outfit controversial.
