Kim Kardashian’s Brand Launches ‘Ultimate Bush’ Hairy Panties

This might be the weirdest SKIMS launch yet (and that’s saying something). On Tuesday, October 14, Kim Kardashian’s brand launched a product that many people insist no one wanted or asked for: faux hair panties. In ads shared via social media, the product line is referred to as “The Ultimate Bush.” Just in case the meaning of that name wasn’t clear, the brand also dropped a video that’s very on the nose.

The video takes place on the set of a game show called “Does the Capet Match the Drapes?” In the video, the game show is described as “the game show that dares to ask if the hair up there matches the hair down there.” However, the SKIMS campaign also asserts that it doesn’t have to. The brand’s Faux Hair Panty comes in several different colors, meaning “your carpet can be whatever color you want it to be.”

With the help of the Faux Hair Panty, you can ‘switch it up mid-day.’

The Faux Hair Panty is all about having options, apparently. In another video promoting the questionable product, the brand assures people that “your carpet can be whatever color you want. Match, don’t match, or switch it up mid-day.”

On the Skims website, the Faux Hair Micro String Thong comes in several different variations, such as Clay Blonde Straight, Sienna Brown Curly, and Cocoa Black Curly. It’s priced at $32. According to the website, all colors and hair textures are currently sold out, which people had doubts about. “SOMEONE PLZ TELL ME WHY THESE ARE OUT OF STOCK WHO IS BUYING,” one person commented on a post about the new thong.

People had lots of questions about the product.

The product launch has some people questioning whether Kim Kardashian is OK. “Kim, it’s getting weird,” someone commented. Another person wrote, “This definitely takes the cake on the worst thing I’ve ever seen.” Others made jokes like, “I’m calling 911” and “the cops are on their way.”

Many of the people who commented on the ads couldn’t fathom why Kim would release such a product. However, others speculated that it was some kind of prank or a marketing strategy. “Smart way to bring people to your website, have them laughing, then [they] ending up buying actual cute stuff they don’t even need,” one Instagram user wrote. “Genius e-commerce team.”

And a few people praised the brand for being “innovative and bold.”

It’s certainly not the first time SKIMS has released questionable products.

Though some people described the “Ultimate Bush” panties as the worst thing they’ve ever seen, Kim has launched some pretty controversial items in the past. In July, the brand promoted face shapewear. Then, in September, SKIMS dropped some totally sheer clothing items for fall, which left people asking where they were supposed to wear the transparent outfits.
