An ad for a new Skims thong, which one critic thought looked like a “repurposed eye patch,” left many Kardashian fans asking the same question: Kim Kardashian cannot be serious, right? The ad read, “NEW FITS EVERYBODY.” But the thong looks so small that fans believed it had to be “rage bait.”
Critics say the thong would not fit anyone.
Reacting to the Skims ad on Reddit, one critic wrote that the thong is “the size of a belly button.” This made many fans wonder who the new product is even for, since it looks like it would fit “no one.”
“I’m a tiny thin person but even that won’t fit me 😂 It’s made for a doll or something,” a second critic wrote. Aanother person, however, speculated that “not even a Barbie” would be able to wear the tiny Skims thong.
They called out Kim for perpetuating harmful body standards.
… fits WHO exactly?

Some fans of Kim’s brand said they initially supported it because of its size inclusivity. But lately, they’ve noticed the brand shifting away from promoting products for all body shapes and instead focusing on “extremely thin women.”
The fact that the brand is advertising in this way has made some previous supporters pretty angry for a variety of reasons. “They’ve already made women feel bad about the size of their a–, nose, boobs, chin, even their eye hole openings,” one critic wrote, referring to the Kardashian-Jenner family. “Now they’re gonna sexualize and shame the size of our labia?!”
Another critic added that the Kardashians “intentionally make women feel horrible about their appearance,” and then “make their money off of women.”
Others pointed out that no adult woman looks like that.
The photo in the ad made many people extremely uncomfortable, with some saying that they hope it’s AI-generated. Regardless, though, critics were concerned about the message that it promotes. “Anatomically, this isn’t possible,” one person shared. “Ladies, this isn’t real! Do not look at this and feel bad, this isn’t real.”
“Fits Everybody … who had a labiaplasty!” a second person wrote. “This would not fit the average woman.” Another person called the image “disgusting objectification,” writing, “There is no face to this person, just a torso that’s also inhumanly hairless for the average grown woman.”
For many critics, the fact that the thong looked like it wouldn’t fit any grown woman made the ad feel especially “vile and disgusting.”
