All eyes have been on Diddy over the past few months as he's faced sex trafficking and assault allegations, with the situation ramping up to a fever pitch over the weekend after surveillance video appeared to show the rapper assaulting then-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel hallway in 2016. And now, a woman claiming to have been close with his late ex, Kim Porter, is speaking out, seemingly accusing Diddy of being involved in her 2016 death.

The disturbing footage emerged on Friday.
The video, which shows an altercation between Diddy and Cassie in a hotel captured in surveillance footage, is difficult to watch. Diddy appears to run after Cassie while he was wearing a towel, and while she seems to be waiting for an elevator, he catches up to her and the fight turns physical.
Now a woman claiming to have been friends with another one of Diddy's exes is speaking out.
Diddy's longtime girlfriend, Kim Porter, died in 2018. The official cause of death was ruled as "lobar pneumonia," but a woman claiming to have been her friend, Kola Boof, seems to suspect something else may have happened.
"KIM PORTER was murdered. She did not deserve what happened to her. And I am not the one that you can intimidate and make me 'back down' from a fight," she wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The new allegations come just as Diddy issued a response to the surveillance footage.
On Sunday, Diddy took to Instagram to share a video with the caption "I'm truly sorry."
"It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life. Sometimes you gotta do that. I was f—ed up. I mean I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable," he said. "I take full responsibility for my actions in that video."

Not everyone is accepting his apology, though.
Cassie's lawyer, Meredith Firetog, released a statement to People that read, "When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday. That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words."
Meanwhile, Aubrey O'Day, who was a part of Making the Band's Danity Kane who was signed by Diddy's record label, shared her take on X.
"Diddy did not apologize to Cassie. He apologized to the world for seeing what he did," she wrote. "He says he’s ‘disgusted w himself now, and he was disgusted w himself then’ … but apparently he wasn’t disgusted enough w himself to not PIN this statement out calling her a liar & denying all of it … leave god and mercy out of this, they aren’t present here, and you know it."
Diddy may have been trying to avoid having this video getting out.
According to what former CIA agent Tracy Walder told People, Diddy may have settled so quickly with Cassie to make sure this video never saw the light of day.
"Diddy never expected the video to get out. It's very upsetting that this has exceeded its statute of limitations," Walder added. "It does depend on what the charge could be, but it can range from one to three years. Felony assaults in California have a statute of limitations of three years. Since this stemmed from a 2016 incident, she wouldn't be able to file assault or battery charges in Los Angeles. It really throws water on Diddy and his legal team's argument that the government used too much force in his search warrants."
