King Charles Is Reportedly ‘Frustrated & Upset’ After Prince Harry’s Bombshell Interview

There was never any chance that Prince Harry‘s surprise BBC interview on May 2 was going to go over well with the royal family, and according to palace intel, it appears King Charles is more upset with his youngest son than ever. Not that this is surprising to hear in the least – after all, Harry did put him on blast after losing his fight for tighter security while visiting the UK.

Charles isn’t happy about the way Harry made him come off in the interview.

A friend of King Charles told The Sun that he was unable to intervene in the lawsuit because getting involved would have been “constitutionally improper.”

“What has frustrated and upset him on a more personal level is the Duke’s failure to respect this principle,” the source told the news outlet. “And for his supporters to suggest that somehow his father doesn’t care about his family, or should step in. He’s been particularly concerned that it has taken considerable resources and cost for the Government to defend their position.”

Prince Harry made it seem that Charles is the one keeping them from ending their feud.

While talking to the BBC, Harry said he believed if his father did get involved, the situation would be resolved “quickly.”

“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” he shared in the interview. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.”

Those close to Charles are calling Harry’s comments ‘unhelpful.’

One insider said told The Times (via The Independent) that Harry is like a “gambler in a casino who can’t walk away” when it comes to his feud with Charles.

“It’s not that the King won’t speak to him – it’s that he can’t,” shared the source, who claims to be close to Charles. “How can you have a private and delicate conversation when you know it is going to end up on a news special within hours?”

The Independent also reported that Ailsa Anderson, the late Queen Elizabeth’s press secretary, told Sky News, “Prince Harry is saying ‘I don’t know how long my father has’ – that’s going to cause real concern and more speculation in the media and the wider public about what his diagnosis is, which is incredibly unhelpful going forward.”

The palace responded with a simple statement.

“All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion,” read a statement from Buckingham Palace.

Well, that settles that …
