True crime documentaries and docuseries have a way of breathing new life into old cases. That’s what happened with the Amy Bradley case, thanks to the three-part Netflix series Amy Bradley Is Missing. The docuseries explains the case of 23-year-old Amy, who went missing in 1998 when she was on a Royal Caribbean Rhapsody of the Seas cruise with her parents and younger brother. She was never found. After the series dropped, however, there have been alleged new tips about where Amy Bradley is and what happened to her.
In the docuseries, Amy’s parents, Iva and Ron Bradley, and her brother Brad Bradley, share their accounts of what happened during their cruise from Puerto Rico to multiple tropical locations.
When the ship was ready to dock in Curacao, in the early hours of the morning on March 24, 1998, Amy went missing. The family has theories about what happened, most of which include members of the cruise staff having nefarious intentions with the young woman. Outside of Amy’s family, there are a lot of armchair detectives with their own theories.
The Amy Bradley case has had a lot of tips since the Netflix docuseries.

In the docuseries, authorities, cruise ship employees, and even Amy’s family explore all of the theories related to her disappearance. The one thing Amy’s family seems to be sure of, however, is that she is alive and that she was either taken off the ship alive or was hidden in the ship and went missing that way.
The docuseries also details one woman’s alleged sighting of Amy in a bathroom in a Barbados department store in 2005, years after her disappearance. A former US Marine also says in the docuseries that he believes he saw Amy after her disappearance. In his case, it was at a brothel. He says in Amy Bradley Is Missing that he was approached by a woman who claimed to be Amy.
After the Netflix show about her case aired, other alleged leads began surfacing on social media. And, according to producer Ari Mark, who spoke with The US Sun about the series and the case, people called in some tips after the show dropped on Netflix.
“We have had a few leads come in, but I can’t discuss them and they’re not verified yet, so they may very likely be false leads,” he told the newspaper. “I prefer to believe that Amy is alive. But there’s so little tangible official ‘evidence’ in this case that it’s impossible to know.”
Outside of tips called in after the Amy Bradley docuseries dropped on Netflix, people on social media believe they have what it takes to solve the case. There is a photo circulating on TikTok of a woman that many believe to be an aged Amy in Curaçao in 2022. It hasn’t been confirmed, though.
Another alleged sighting was shared on TikTok by a woman who said she believes she might have seen Amy in July 2025 in Byron, California. She explains in her video that she saw a woman near a storage facility with RVs and boats for sale and rent.
She says the woman had a Tasmanian Devil tattoo, which Amy had, and that she was with two men. Again, it has not been confirmed, but it’s another tip about the case that could have some merit. Other users even urged the TikTok creator to share her alleged sighting with the official tip line.
Another possible lead about the case involves cruise band member Alister “Yellow” Douglas, who was seen as a suspect but was never charged with anything related to Amy’s disappearance.

Yellow was seen dancing with Amy hours before her disappearance on the cruise ship. According to someone on TikTok, a woman who frequented cruises growing up shared a Facebook post where she claimed Yellow approached her and a friend when they were teens on the same cruise ship two weeks after Amy’s disappearance.
The woman’s post says that Yellow flirted with her and her friend and tried to convince them to leave the ship and go on a beach with him. They didn’t, but the woman believes it’s a possible tip in regard to Yellow’s potential involvement in the case.
After he was interrogated and given a lie detector test, however, Yellow was no longer seen as a suspect.
