It sounds like thing are stressful for actor Natalie Portman and her husband, Benjamin Millepied. According to multiple news outlets, the couple — who have been married for nearly 11 years — are struggling after Benjamin’s alleged affair was made public.
Benjamin allegedly had an affair with a 25-year-old climate activist.
Natalie is said to have discovered the alleged affair in early March.
But it's not clear if the alleged affair is still ongoing. The French magazine notes that Benjamin and Camille were spotted together in May.
“The mag has published images of Millepied and Étienne going into his office separately on May 24 and exiting ten minutes apart almost two hours later,” Page Six reported, citing the French magazine.
People reported an unnamed inside source said that Benjamin’s affair with Camille was “short-lived and it is over."
Now Benjamin is trying to do damage control.
"He knows he made an enormous mistake and he is doing all he can to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together," an inside source told People.
"Natalie is incredibly private and has no intention of playing this out in the media. Her biggest priority is protecting her children and their privacy."
Natalie and Benjamin are parents to two kiddos: Aleph, who is almost 12, and 6-year-old Amalia.
Sources say Natalie and Benjamin are still technically together.
“They have not split and are trying to work things out,” a source told Page Six. “Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family.”
But all of this is — understandably — hard for Natalie. “She is incredibly private,” the source shared.
“Her biggest focus right now is protecting the kids.”
Natalie was recently seen at Cannes to promote her new movie ‘May December,’ and fans voiced concerns.
Natalie attended the red carpet events during the 76th annual Cannes film festival, and some fans saw a video posted by Vogue France, and had concerns about her.
“She looks like she’s about to faint!” one person wrote.
“It’s giving black swan,” another person shared.
“Is she ok?” voiced someone else. “She doesn’t look happy. Dress stunning.”
“How is no one commenting on her catatonic state? Is she okay?” and “She looks beautiful, but she looks like she is having a panic attack,” were some other comments left on the video.
Hopefully, if the rumors are true, Natalie has some good support around her.
