When it comes to celebrity couples, it seems like everyone is rooting for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce — well, maybe not everyone. The ratings are in, and the NFL experienced a 4 million drop in their broadcast viewers during Sunday's game. This also happened to be the second game in a row that the "Cruel Summer" singer was spotted cheering on her new man as he played with the Kansas City Chiefs. At this point, some diehard football fans are really starting to get tired of the Swiftie monopolization of it all …

On Sunday night, Taylor was a prominent member of the crowd at the Chiefs game.
As Travis Kelce and his team played (and won) against the New York Jets, Taylor was in a private suite for the second week in a row — this time joined by celebrity friends including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Sophie Turner.
Taylor got a lot of attention from fans, the NFL, and even sports commentators for being there, not to mention a ton of screentime during the game's broadcast. This seemed to make Swifties happy, but true football fans who just wanted to focus on the game? Not so much.
NFL broadcast ratings were down from last week.
According to The Shadow League, the Chiefs vs. Jets game drew 20.31 million viewers watching the game live on NBC, while the Chiefs' game the previous weekend against the Chicago Bears brought in 24.32 million viewers.
Though Taylor was in attendance last week as well, viewers had no idea she'd be there before tuning in, while this time around, there were plenty of rumors that she'd show up.
Some fans are pretty mad at the spectacle being created around this new relationship.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), football fans did nothing to hide their feelings about the situation, and it sounds like many of them would rather just focus on the game.
"I am disgruntled about the NFL turning into the Taylor Swift show. It’s annoying," one person tweeted.
Former Chiefs player Mitchell Schwartz wrote, "We seriously gotta stop with immediate cuts to Taylor Swift after every TD or big play. We get it, famous people are in the building and have a rooting interest in the football teams. That’s never happened in football before and no NFL player has ever dated or married a celeb."
Once streaming numbers were added in, though, it was a different story.

Once NBC factored in streaming viewers — including those who watched on Peacock, NBC Sports Digital, and NFL Digital Platforms — the game actually peaked at 29 million viewers, TMZ has reported.
This means that Sunday's Chiefs vs. Jets game had NBC Sports' biggest streaming audience for Sunday Night Football ever.
Taylor Swift is a powerful lady!

Taylor's fans certainly don't seem to mind.
With just about a month to go until the Eras Tour resumes in Argentina in November, it looks like she'll only be able to make a few more games before heading back on the road anyway. For now, the hype is a lot of fun for so many fans — and it's clear that the NFL knows what it's doing by totally milking it while it lasts.
