It doesn't look like the battle over Lisa Marie Presley's estate is going to be slowing down anytime soon. According to friends close to the family, it seems Priscilla may be siding with Lisa Marie's ex, Michael Lockwood, to gang up against Riley, leading the situation to get even uglier.
Priscilla has reportedly teamed up with Michael ahead of the next hearing.
As Page Six reported, on April 13, Michael will go to court in hopes of becoming the representative for the 14-year-old twins he shared with Lisa Marie as legal proceedings are ongoing.
But this may not be what Lisa Marie would have wanted, because friends close to the family say that their relationship has always been a contentious one since they split up.
This isn't a surprise to those familiar with the inner workings of the family.
"This is nothing new, Michael and Priscilla have always been close," a source told the news outlet.
Reportedly, things had been so bad between Lisa Marie and Michael that he wasn't even invited to her funeral, but Priscilla was the one who allowed him to be there.
Riley is in charge of Lisa Marie's will.
Priscilla was once named the executor of her late daughter's will, but an amendment was made to name Riley and her brother, who has since died, the executors instead. With Lisa Marie gone, that puts 33-year-old Riley in charge — something that Priscilla reportedly hasn't been very happy about.
Riley doesn't seem willing to let anybody push her around.
In fact, earlier this week, there were rumors that Riley had even changed the locks at Graceland — something that has since been denied.
"These reports are entirely untrue. No locks at Graceland have been changed since Lisa Marie’s passing," a rep for Graceland said via Page Six.
Things could continue to get more complicated.
With the situation turning into a battle between Priscilla and Riley instead of the two women working together, the legal back-and-forth could continue until all matters of Lisa Marie's estate are settled … and that could take a while.
Maybe they'll be able to come to some sort of an agreement soon.
