‘Teen Mom’ Star Ryan Edwards Has Been Arrested for Stalking His Estranged Wife Mackenzie

Nearly a month after being taken into custody over accusations of stalking and violating a protection order, former Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards has been arrested. The father of three is being charged based on accusations from his wife Mackenzie, who detailed months of domestic violence in a statement to police.

The former reality star was taken into custody by a Hamilton County sheriff's deputy.

In a statement obtained by Page Six, the sheriff's department shared that it had taken Ryan into custody sometime Wednesday afternoon.

The short statement noted the charges and described Ryan as being known for his role in the MTV television series, saying he had recently been "arrested for numerous charges on February 9, 2023."

The statement concluded that there were "no further details" being released at the time, though news did break on Wednesday that revealed Mackenzie has filed for divorce from Ryan.

Ryan had been in trouble after posting nude photos of Mackenzie online.

In a since-deleted post, Ryan shared a nonconsensual photo of his wife's chest, accusing her of being unfaithful in their marriage.

"If you guys have never seen a spineless slut this is one," he wrote in the post. "They take your money sleep with anything that looks at them. But they must have a wife [too]. God what a joke. It's sad really."

Police picked him up in February for harassing Mackenzie.

After a truly terrifying telephone call from Ryan, when he told his estranged wife that some scary men were going to show up at her work to hurt her, Mackenzie went to the authorities and told them what had been going on.

When they found Ryan, he was in possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance as they took him into custody.

Mackenzie detailed a violent relationship with her ex.

The 26-year-old told police that Ryan had frequently been violent in their relationship and described several instances where he threatened her, physically assaulted her, and prevented her from leaving with their children.

During one such attack, she said Ryan even held her up against the wall by the throat.

She also claimed Ryan pulled a knife on her.

In perhaps the scariest story of them all, Mackenzie says Ryan "opened [a] pocketknife, put to my back like he was going to kill me. This was in front of children. I tried to leave, he smashed my phone, took my car keys."

If all of this is true, it sounds like Ryan is exactly where he should be right now. We can't imagine how scary and difficult this situation must be for Mackenzie and her children.
