Combs has been arrested on charges related to sex crimes.
He was taken into custody by federal agents on Monday night, and on Tuesday, his indictment was unsealed. According to court documents obtained by People, Combs has been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has since pleaded not guilty, but we now have an update on exactly what prosecutors are accusing him of.
Prosecutors claim that Combs forced women to participate in 'freak-offs.'
These “freak-offs” are defined as “elaborate and produced sex performances” that Combs would allegedly manipulate women to participate in, sometimes lasting for days at a time. The documents state that his victims would originally believe that they were in a romantic relationship with Combs, who would later use force and “threats of coercion,” which included threatening to cut them off from financial support or threatening their careers.
He allegedly used drugs to assist in this coercion, including oxycodone, ketamine, and cocaine.
The 'freak-offs' allegedly included women and sex workers who Combs would hire.
His employees are accused of helping to facilitate these “freak-offs,” since they were allegedly the ones who would book travel, keep hotels stocked with supplies needed for the parties, and even ordered the delivery of IV fluid that was often required to help victims recuperate afterward, due to both the physically demanding nature of the parties and the drugs involved.

The raids of his homes in March also produced some disturbing findings.
The indictment also claims that when Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided in March, they found supplies for the “freak-offs” that included 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.
The federal charges also accuse Combs of the physical abuse of women going back to 2009 — and of bribing witnesses who saw what happened between him and one of the alleged victims at a hotel.
Combs has been denied bail.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Combs has been denied jail twice, as People reported. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, proposed an offer of $50 million to allow Combs to await his trial in his Miami home with no cellphone or internet access and a security team, but two different judges have shut down the request since they doubt he will be able to stay out of trouble.
“There is no condition or combination of conditions to ensure he will not obstruct justice or tamper with witnesses,” Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. said.
