Pink Tried To Visit a Bar in Australia With Her Kid & They Were Refused Entry

Pink ran into a bit of trouble while on tour in Sydney, Australia, this week. After the singer and celebrity mom tried to enter a club on Monday night, she was refused entry. Considering that she's Pink, this was surprising to her and to her fans, and now, the club is apologizing to her for the way it all went down. Not everyone is convinced that the club did the wrong thing, though.

Pink wanted to visit the Manly Skiff Club.

From the photos online, it looks like a gorgeous restaurant right on the beach, so it's not surprising that she'd want to spend time there while she's in town.

Unfortunately, she didn't get in. When she showed up with her party of eight, she was sent away.

She'd already paid a deposit.

According to what one onlooker told the Manly Observer (via Sky News Australia) the whole situation went down pretty quickly.

“I overheard her saying that she had a booking, but when they asked her to provide her ID, she said she didn’t have any on her," witness Mark Eymes said. "They said she couldn’t come in without it, even though she explained that she’d already secured her booking with a deposit."

Pink reportedly handled the situation well.

"Not once did she throw her weight around. She was really pleasant despite being a little upset that she couldn’t come in," he continued. "It was just such a shame and I felt a little embarrassed that a solution couldn’t be found."

Some people think it was right for Pink to be denied entry.

Although some people sympathized with Pink on X (formerly Twitter), others saw nothing wrong with her being turned away.

"Policy is policy no matter who you are. Good work," one person wrote.

Another commenter added, "The article states she handled it well, no celebrity tantrum, this lady is a class act."

Now, the venue is apologizing.

Matt Hazell, secretary manager of the club, has issued a statement apologizing to Pink, noting that she "chose to leave" when she realized she didn't have her ID.

"It's a shame, we understand the situation was frustrating, and for that, we apologise to Pink. We all missed a real opportunity here to show Pink and her crew, some of the best food and hospitality Sydney has to offer," he share in the statement. "The Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club extends our sincerest apologies to Pink, her family, and friends for the inconvenience experienced during her recent visit to our venue."
