Trump’s Two ‘N-Words’ Are Sort of What You’d Expect at This Point

When both Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth met with members of the U.S. military in Quantico on Sept. 30, 2025, they gave their own individual impassioned speeches. In a surprise to literally no one, Trump’s speech to the soldiers went off on multiple tangents. At this point, what speech of his doesn’t go off in a dozen different ways with no real conclusions or points given?

One thing Trump said that didn’t really confuse many was his mention of there being two forbidden “n-words.” During his speech to the military, Trump said, per BuzzFeed, “There are two N-words, and you can’t use either of them.” But in the same speech he used one of his apparent no-no words, so his point of bringing up multiple n-words that shouldn’t be said seems pretty pointless. Then again, is that really surprising to many at this point?

Trump repeatedly uses one of his “n-words” during a speech to military troops.

During Trump’s speech to the troops, clips of which made their way around the internet almost as soon as the footage was made available to the public, Trump spoke about using nuclear weapons, making it apparent that ‘nuclear’ is one of the n-words that Trump told the military is an n-word no one is supposed to use.

Apparently, Trump has a hard time taking his own advice though, because he used that particular n-word multiple times during his time on-stage in order to pump himself up full of military bravado. If there is one thing you can count on from Trump, it’s the confidence of someone much younger and better looking.

“I sent a submarine, nuclear submarine, the most lethal weapon ever made. Number one, you can’t detect it, there’s no way,” Trump said. “We’re 25 years ahead of Russia and China in submarines. Russia is actually second in submarines. China’s third. But, you know, they’re coming up. They’re coming up. They’re way lower in nuclear, too. But in five years, they’ll be equal. They’re coming up. And you don’t have to be that good with nuclear.”

He also spoke highly of the U.S. government’s “totally detectable” submarines compared to other countries like China and Russia. Hold up. Wasn’t Trump just besties with Vladimir Putin? Honestly, I can’t keep up with the U.S. government reality show anymore.

Trump was accused of using the n-word as a racial slur once.

Although Trump did not say the offensive racial slur n-word that he obviously referenced in his speech at Quantico, he was accused of using it when he worked on The Apprentice. Remember the time the president of the United States starred in an actual reality show? Some people tend to forget.

In June 2024, Bill Pruitt, a former producer from The Apprentice, told CNN that Trump allegedly used the n-word in reference to a Black contestant on the show winning at the end of the season.

“You could see him reacting and shaking his head, wobbling his head, grimacing, wincing, before he said, ‘yeah, but would America buy’ — and he said the n-word — ‘winning,'” Pruitt explained at the time. He added that he looked to Trump to see if he was joking, but could see that Trump’s response was very serious. There is no proof of Trump using the n-word in this context. But the idea of Trump referencing the n-word in relation to his “two n-words” is enough to make people remember this claim.
