We all have those certain movies or TV shows that we just can't get enough of. Thanks to these creative travel experiences, you actually can — at least for a little while. From themed hotel suites to tours, these immersive experiences bring your favorite films and shows to full-color life, transforming your trip from ordinary to out-of-the-ordinary.

Why stay in a run-of-the-mill room when you can be Harry or Hermione for a night and sleep in a magical Hogwarts-style setting. Or take in the sweeping views of space from your window in Disney's Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel.

This list we've rounded up here has a little something for everyone, whether you're into cartoons or comedy films. So if you're looking for some fresh inspiration for your next family getaway, why not check out some of these hotels and attractions, tailor-made for TV and movie superfans.

'Sex and the City'

Airbnb

Thanks to Airbnb, Sex and the City fans can now step into Carrie Bradshaw's Manolo Blahnik shoes for a night. The vacation rental company has re-created her iconic brownstone apartment — complete with a closet overflowing with fabulous clothes, of course — and fans can rent it out for just $23 a night, with none other than Sarah Jessica Parker serving as host. The catch? Carrie's pad is only available for one-night stays on November 12 and 13, so scoring a booking will be almost as difficult as the girls' search for love in the big city.

'Friends'

Booking.com

Similar to Carrie's apartment, Monica and Rachel's New York pad was re-created for a weekend in May 2021 in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Friends. From that famous purple door to Joey and Chandler's cushy recliners, no detail was overlooked. Even better, lucky guests were treated to a Friends-themed scavenger hunt, coffee and breakfast at Central Perk, and an escape room game inside Phoebe's cab. Talk about an epic sleepover!

Sadly, the apartment is no longer available for bookings, but it's so cool we had to include it on this list. If you're in New York and need a Friends fix, though, there are tours available that will take you around the city to see filming locations from the show, from the theme song fountain to the hotel where Monica and Chandler tied the knot.

'Pretty Woman'

Touchstone Pictures

For die-hard fans of the Julia Roberts' rom-com classic, the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Los Angeles offers a "Pretty Woman for a Day" luxury package that combines fashion, food, and a little pampering. (Really, what more could a girl want?) The VIP experience — which requires a two-night minimum stay in one of the hotel's Specialty Suites — features a behind-the-scenes tour of some of Rodeo Drive's best designer boutiques, a meal specially curated by THEBLVD's executive chef, a massage at the spa, and more. If only the package included Richard Gere, too!

'Star Wars'

Walt Disney World's much-anticipated Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser luxury hotel hasn't even opened yet, but fans are already racing to book what promises to be a truly out-of-this-world stay. (Dates for the first three months following the hotel's March 1, 2022, grand opening are already completely sold out — no matter that rooms cost more than $5,000 per night!)

Modeled as a cruise to a galaxy far, far away, the fantasy travel experience includes guest rooms and suites with a spectacular space view, exotic galactic cuisine, and a variety of interactive activities such as lightsaber training and an excursion to the planet Batuu. You might even catch a glimpse of Chewbacca or Kylo Ren patrolling the hallways.

'The Office'

For a limited time, fans of The Office can immerse themselves in the wacky world of Dunder Mifflin thanks to a special pop-up experience on Chicago's Magnificent Mile. The two-story interactive tour features 17 re-created sets — including Michael's office, the conference room, Pam's reception desk, and the break room — outfitted with original show props and costumes. There are even special areas commemorating classic scenes such as Kevin's chili spill (splat!). Tickets start at $37.50, and the event runs until January 17, 2022.

'Talladega Nights'

The Curtis Hotel

Ricky Bobby would be right at home in this Talladega Nights-themed hotel room at the Curtis in Denver. The red, white, and blue space features several nods to the Will Ferrell comedy film, including NASCAR knickknacks, hubcap wall art, and even a painting of mountain lions and cheese fountains (some of Ricky's faves). If racing isn't your thing, the Curtis also offers rooms inspired by Barbie, Star Trek, Ghostbusters, and more. Why settle for a cookie-cutter hotel stay?

'The Hobbit'

The Shire

Situated on acres of private land in the Montana wilderness, this one-of-a-kind VRBO — called the Shire — transports guests straight into the magical world of The Hobbit. Carved from a hillside, the charming Hobbit cabin is modeled after the houses in the film — but is thankfully much less rustic. (There's a modern kitchen and bathroom, after all.) Available for $595 per night, it's the perfect place for Tolkien fans to geek out and live like Bilbo Baggins for a few days.

'The Crown'

While fans of The Crown wait patiently for Netflix to drop a new season, they can follow in Princess Diana's royal footsteps by booking the same suite she once stayed in at the Drake Hotel in Chicago. Spanning 1,500 square feet, it features a marble foyer, bedroom, dining room, and spacious living room offering sweeping views of Lake Michigan and the city's skyscrapers. The furnishings and décor remain virtually untouched since Di's historic 1996 visit, so guests can experience the opulent lodgings just as she did.

'Alice in Wonderland'

You'll feel like you fell down the rabbit hole at the Wonderland House, located on the Brighton seafront in England. Spread over five floors, this one-of-a-kind property brings the whimsy and fantasy of Alice in Wonderland to life with rooms inspired by characters from the classic tale (like the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, the Tweedles, and of course Alice). You'll have fun exploring and discovering every delightful detail, from the teapot lamps to the Cheshire Cat cushions.

'Harry Potter'

It may not be Hogwarts, but it's close enough. Across the pond in Staffordshire, England, the 19th-century Georgian House hotel has created a magical experience for Harry Potter lovers with its two wizard-inspired rooms. Designed to evoke the feel of a gothic castle setting, the rooms feature stained glass windows, faux stone walls, fireplaces with cauldrons, four-poster beds, and lots of little touches and details to make any guest — young or old — feel like they're sleeping in Gryffindor House (only, without a nearly headless ghost floating around).

'Twilight'

Die-hard Twilight fans have long been making pilgrimages to Forks, Washington, to visit the various filming locations used in the hit vampire films (or maybe to catch a glimpse of Edward and Bella). Travelers can keep their entire trip on theme by staying at the Pacific Inn, where there are several Twilight-inspired rooms, decorated with blood-red walls (naturally), as well as movie memorabilia and posters.

Roxbury Hotel

Nestled among the scenic Catskill Mountains, the Roxbury Hotel is famous for its over-the-top themed rooms, each inspired by a popular show or movie — from The Wizard of Oz to Breakfast at Tiffany's. The hotel's owners are ex-theater people who say their mission is to "make you smile (and hopefully sometimes gasp) when you open the door to your room."

In the Gilligan's Island-inspired "Mary Ann's Coconut Pie" suite, for example, you'll be sleeping under a molded ceiling made to look like mounds of whipped cream. And in "Fred's Lair," you'll experience cave living at its finest à la The Flintstones. The only downside? When you return home, your house will seem totally boring in comparison.

'SpongeBob SquarePants'

Dive into the undersea world of SpongeBob SquarePants with a stay at the Pineapple Villa at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The two-bedroom, three-bathroom property — which, yes, is indeed shaped like the tropical fruit — is decorated just like SpongeBob's brightly colored abode in Bikini Bottom (complete with a submarine TV and a Gary the Snail statue). Outside, guests can soak up the sun in the private gardens and infinity pool. As Bob would say, "I'm ready!"

'The Powerpuff Girls'

After a day at the nearby Dutch Wonderland theme park, keep the fun going by checking in to the Cartoon Network Hotel in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. From the restaurants and rooms to the arcade and outdoor pool, guests can totally immerse themselves in the colorful and quirky world of cartoons. And when it's finally time to hit the hay — and you're looking to splurge a little — there are several themed suites available inspired by The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, Steven Universe, and other hit toons. The kids will never want to leave.

'Pirates of the Caribbean'

You'll enjoy accommodations fit for a pirate king when you check in to the two-bedroom Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired suite at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California. Even Captain Jack Sparrow himself would approve of the tastefully decorated rooms, which have a Spanish Colonial vibe with hardwood floors, antique furnishings, and lots of on-theme décor pieces and curiosities such as old maps, coins, and model ships. The suite even has a doorbell that plays the tune, "Yo, Ho, a Pirate's Life for Me" (and yeah, your kids will be pressing it on repeat).

Psst: If you choose to book accommodations on this list, CafeMom may receive a small cut. Each listing is up to date at the time of publication, and availability is based on travel dates and number of guests.
