Last week, people had quite the jump scare when videos circulated on social media of an unusual museum in Poland. The Polonia Wax Museum has an exhibit showcasing celebrities immortalized in look-alike was statues, and it was two specific figures people felt were particularly bad — Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Someone who visited the museum took videos of the wax figures and shared them to social media.
It didn’t take long for the video and photos of the strange-looking wax figures to go viral, with people discussing how bizarre all the celebrities look, including the Harry Potter crew and athletes.
“Is this satire at a wax museum or a really low budget?” one person asked. “Looks like the wigs came from a Spirit Halloween store on clearance.”
“These all look like they had to make them different enough to avoid copyright issues,” someone else joked.
And people dug into Prince William’s wax figure because it was really weird.
“Prince William I’m dyinggggg,” someone wrote.
“WILLIAM IM HOWLING” added another.
More and more comments flooded the videos shared on social media.
“lol prince William scared me with his smile lol,” “Prince William had me screaming,” “William looked like he saw the future,” and “Prince William grimacing,” were a few of the thoughts.
But then others looked closer and realized that William’s questionable wax figure looks like someone else.
In the popular Reddit community, Duggar Snark, that wax figure was compared to the Duggar dad, Jim Bob Duggar.
Sharing a screenshot of a news article covering the bizarre-looking William, a Reddit user noted, “This wax figure fail of Prince William kinda looks like Jim Bob.”
And others agreed — there is a resemblance.
“Oh it’s accurate… frighteningly so,” someone replied. “Poor Prince William… given the Jim Bob dead eye treatment.”
“It doesn’t kinda look like [Jim Bob Duggar] … that is [Jim Bob Duggar],” someone else added.
'It’s the teeth for sure,' another person wrote.
Someone else was curious if the reason they look alike is because it was initially Jim Bob.
“How much you want to bet they repurposed the wax figure,” one person questioned, joking that the figure was initially Jim Bob but after Josh Duggar’s conviction, they turned that figure into the Prince of Wales.
We're not sure if there is a lot of resemblance, but we can probably all agree that it doesn't look much like Prince William either.
