New York Fashion Week is showering us with springtime looks for 2016. Hope you're ready for necklines that plunge all the way to your navel, because that's going to be all the rage. Not so much? Well, then, here are some NYFW trends we actually can see ourselves wearing.

Tie-Dye Prints
Tie-dye prints are back, but they look anything but hippy-drippy. Instead of T-shirts and maxi dresses, try it with a belted dress or blouse with pin skirt, as seen here in Altuzarra.
Watercolor Prints
Along with the tie-dye prints we're seeing soft watercolor prints, like in this Monique Lhuillier gown. Look for something similar in a blouse or flowing skirt.
Cold Shoulders
You may be tempted to give your shoulders some extra sun once winter is over. New York Fashion week saw loads of shoulderless looks, like this Rachel Zoe dress. If that looks a little dangerous to wear around clingy toddlers, look for blouses with cut-out shoulders.
Slouchy Wide-Leg Trousers
Love those flowing, wide-leg pants trending lately? They'll still be around in spring, but this time we may see more low-slung versions like these Francesca Liberatore trousers than the high-waisted pants popular now.
Mixed Prints
Everyone seems to love this mixed-print wrap dress by Diane von Furstenberg, and not just because Karlie Kloss is wearing it. The fun mix of florals gets a bit tamed with the lightly structured cut and that contrasting band running from neck to waist. Look for similar bands on mixed-floral dresses this spring.

Pajama Wear
Exactly what a sleep-deprived mom wants to hear: Apparently pajama-inspired clothes like this robe-style coat by Public School are happening. Check out Thakoon's collection, which could inspire you to raid your husband's pajama drawer.
Tassels
Leather tassels and fringe are everywhere, from bags (like this one from Altuzarra) to skirt and jacket hems. What's new here is seeing a tassel on more structured bags instead of the usual slouchy hobo.
Oversize Plaids & Checks
Checks will go big this spring, but how do you wear that oversized print without looking like a clown lumberjack? Instead of shirts, look for big, airy plaids on dresses, especially slim-cut maxi dresses like this one by Victoria Beckham.
Ruffles
Ruffles are back! They may be light and sheer like on this Jason Wu dress or surprising in leather. Either way, just make sure there's nothing too prim or fussy about them.

Flowing Goddess Dresses
Hooray, maxi dresses will still be around come spring. Look for long, flowing, sheer, empire-waist dresses with belts and embroidery like this Diane von Furstenberg number.
