People Are Embracing Their Big Noses by Sharing a Candid #SideProfileSelfie

With such rigid (and let's be real, impossible) standards of beauty out there in mainstream media, embracing every inch of our body is no easy feat. These standards affect how we see (and love) ourselves, from our weight and size to the less talked about features — like having a large nose.

And thus, British writer Radhika Sanghani's new campaign -- called the #sideprofileselfie -- was born.

Her campaign seeks to end the "big nose taboo" by encouraging people to share a side-profile selfie that flaunts their big noses.

She knows all too well about strategically angling her face so that her nose looks smaller in photos. She used to think her large nose was unattractive rather than beautiful, and that women are supposed to have these small, dainty noses, she wrote in Grazia.

"It may sound minor, but it's an incredibly empowering thing to do, especially if it means conquering your side-profile fears and owning your looks," she wrote.

People started to give their big nose some well-deserved love by sharing their own #sideprofileselfie.

Some people mentioned that they never post photos of their side profile on social media because of this insecurity.

Others revealed how they used to be teased as kids because of their "really large nose."

One genius woman shared she calls her big nose a "Statement Nose."

That's something everyone should get behind.

If you ask us, these pictures are definitive proof that more movies, advertisements, and television shows should feature more big noses!
