Have you planned your Halloween costume yet? Well, we're sure that no matter what you come up with it won't be as sweet and heartfelt as one man's amazing cosplay with his grandmother. Manuel D'Andrea, an Italian costume designer, won the Internet this uber-realistic costume of Miguel and "Mama Coco" from the beloved movie. And now he's being applauded for this viral creation.
Manuel explained that after watching the movie Coco he felt inspired to try to replicate the movie that touched his heart.
Manuel has done many amazing cosplays in the past (seriously, you need to see his Winifred from Hocus Pocus), but he first posted this incredible Pixar-inspired makeover on his Instagram page in February. He explained that after watching the movie Coco "three times" he was inspired by the character Miguel's relationship with his grandmother.
"I watched Coco three times in a week and it did not matter how many times I told to myself 'you can do it' I always ended up being dehydrated from the tears I shed," Manuel wrote. "This movie in my opinion was perfect from the beginning till the end, the characters, the light design, the costumes, but most of all: the storyline.
"Watching the relationship between Mama Coco and Miguel was like having flashbacks of the story between me and my grandmother," he explained. "She also had some health problems caused by age that created in her difficulties to remember things."
And while Manuel's grandmother most likely has no idea what cosplay is (let alone that her grandson is an Instagram sensation) "that did not stopped her from supporting me and my art with all herself, like Mama Coco did with Miguel, she was always there to support him and enjoy his company even if she did not completely understand what Miguel was doing."
Are you crying? We're crying.
He also posted this sweet before-and-after of himself and his grandmother to hisFacebookpage.
In his Instagram post, Manuel shared that he felt "honored and blessed to have the chance to involve my grandmother in what I do."
He also lets it slip that his grandmother asked to go to Comic Con with him … in costume.
Online it seemed like everyone loved the transformation.
One person wrote in on Manuel's Facebook post that they "really love how your relationship with your grandma is so special and that she cosplays with you <3 It's beautiful and heartwarming to see, especially in the context of this cosplay."
Another person wrote "Omg you so nailed it! I love it."
"And of course, this would be a Ccco post if someone didn't write in the lyrics to the movie's hit song. "Remember me❤️❤️ ," the commenter added.
