Pinup history is filled with curvy women, but one is always missing — and her name is Hilda.
Created by illustrator Duane Bryers, Hilda was basically the animated Ashley Graham of the 1950s, according to Bored Panda. Known for her klutzy tendencies, impeccable lipstick, and Lucille Ball-esque red curls, Hilda was the carefree body positive icon that history forgot.
As one of the few plus-size pinup characters, Hilda was more than a drawing — she was a representation of a more inclusive form of beauty.
Her size was never a punch line — she was almost always depicted as going out on amazing adventures, sometimes with her dog in tow.
She lives for a good bikini — because there's nothing plus-size girls can't wear.
And sometimes she's totally free in her birthday suit.
And Hilda is a daredevil, too, showing girls of ALL sizes go on adventures!
However, sometimes her adventures might have a few mishaps.
No bra, no worries.
She doesn't let a little rain stop her from having fun...
... although it definitely is a pain in the butt.
But she stays calm no matter the emergency.
Sometimes she stops to read letters from guys trying to slide into her DMs.
We've all been there.
And Hilda is basically all of us when trying to master yoga.
Shampoo struggles? We've been there.
And losing an earring? Always annoying.
Although she's always outside, she also occasionally appreciates a chill day.
And she knows there's no better feeling than taking off your bra after a long day.

In her spare time, Hilda brushes up on some #knowledge.
And her reading list is HILARIOUS.
Gaining those pantomime skills.
Maybe better luck next time on the slopes?

Hilda is also all about the DIY.

And although she is usually out and about, she always makes time to stop and smell the roses.

Maybe Victoria's Secret could make a 2017 version of this look?
