Spoonful of Comfort Chicken Soup
I hate the helpless feeling that comes when you find out a family member or close friend who lives far away is sick or having a rotten day, and you can't do anything to make them feel better…Or can you?
Now, thanks to a new company called Spoonful of Comfort, you can send batches of homemade chicken noodle soup— through the mail!
Just place your order online, and the 64-oz jar of soup ($32) will arrive within a few days, providing much needed "comfort" to the ones you love. It's pricey, yes, but no more so than a bouquet of flowers or basket of fruit you'd ordinarily send to cheer someone up when they're feeling down.
The owner of Spoonful, Marti Wymer, who lives in Florida, conceived of the idea when her own mother was diagnosed with cancer while living in Canada. Wymer wanted to do something to make her feel better and comforted; and her first thought was "chicken soup."
Cool idea, right? If you were sick, which would you rather receive: chicken soup, flowers, fruit, or something else?
