Jaclyn Hill may be planning her great return to social media and her Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics brand very, very soon, but that isn't all! Beauty fans also believe that she will be collaborating yet again with Morphe on a new product release, which they deem problematic for a number of reasons. All of this speculation stems from a product leak by drama YouTube channel Tea By Ali. As the beauty community awaits Hill's inevitable return, fans and critics alike are expressing their concerns about her working with Morphe again despite its shoddy history with product launches.
Take a peek at Morphe's recent import history according to Panjiva, a global trade company based in New York City.

Based on the import records by Panjiva, Morphe ordered a few shipments from Jiaxiang Huasheng Cosmetics Co. of an unreleased Jaclyn Hill Primer. The shipments came in on March 7, 2019, right as Hill was promoting the upcoming launch of her namesake cosmetics brand. This suggests that Jaclyn Hill planned to continue working with Morphe even after the launch of her own brand. It's also worth it to note that these products were ordered prior to the scandal concerning Jaclyn Hill's lipsticks.
To settle any concerns about Panjiva's credibility, the global trade company has been referenced as a source by publications such as Bloomberg, CNBC, Forbes, and Reuters.
This impending Jaclyn Hill Primer shipped to Morphe could also mean a few other things...
Jaclyn Hill could be coming out with a primer collaboration with Morphe. She could also have just had Morphe order her products from the manufacturer on her behalf. As in, Morphe could have been doing a favor for her by ordering her products using its choice manufacturer. Does that sound plausible to you?
This likely wouldn't be the first time Morphe has ordered something for Jaclyn Hill...
Per the lab documents provided on the Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics website, it appears that Morphe ordered the lab testing results on Jaclyn Hill's behalf. The blacked-out name at the top of the documents appeared to read "MORPHE," and fans were quick to call it out. It appears that Morphe wanted to help Hill prove that her lipsticks were safe despite the negative reports about black holes, hair-like fibers, and plastic found in them. Lots of critics believed that the documents were proof that Morphe either partially owns Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics OR is more involved with the brand than what was made known to the public.
These latest shipment details suggest that the latter may be true.
For clarity, a Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics representative offered a very strange explanation to INSIDER for that "MORPHE" mention on the documents.
"Speaking to INSIDER, a spokesperson for Jaclyn Cosmetics said 'the appearance' of Morphe's name on the documents 'was an error,'" the publication reported. To be honest — and I hate to write this — but that statement sounds absolutely ridiculous.
If Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics ordered lab testing and results, how does a lab confuse her brand for Morphe and write Morphe instead of Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics? Neither "Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics" nor "Jaclyn Cosmetics" even looks like the words "Morphe." How could the lab get those names confused and make an "error"?
Fans have also discovered that Jaclyn Hill may have false eyelashes on the way.

Per the Justia Trademarks documents, Jaclyn Hill filed for the trademark for false eyelashes on July 3. This is definitely even more solid proof that Hill will make a cosmetics comeback very soon. Of course, the news about false eyelashes was met with a lot of criticism. Lots of people expressed their concern with putting any Jaclyn Hill products on their eyes after her last lipstick launch. Fans are wondering which product will come out first: Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics eyelashes or Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Primer? And should Hill even be focusing on working with another brand as hers dangles by a thread in terms of its reputation?
Some fans think this upcoming primer explains why her lipstick launch went so sour.
"She probably rushed because of her 'collab' coming up with MORPHE…," one person wrote. Hill did acknowledge in her apology video that she rushed her lipstick launch, which resulted in the lipsticks' compromised quality. It's strange that she did this, since her fans had already been waiting for years. A few more days or months to really check the products and get them right wouldn't have made a huge difference. Is this skeptic right? Could it be that the reason Hill rushed was that she had other products and collaborations on the docket?
Fans are giving this alleged upcoming collaboration with Morphe a MAJOR side eye.

"Wait…. she has her own (failing) brand… yet she’s gonna collab with morphe again???" one person wrote. "Morphe is the worst example of a makeup brand. Their ethics do not exist. And yet another Jaclyn collab," another person wrote. "Gonna say she’s been working on this one 2 years. As always. And when this one possibly fails, 0.01% will be defective."
Ouch.
Another Morphe collaboration may not be the best move for Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics from a PR standpoint.
It's true that Hill has a lot of people questioning her credibility. It's also true that there are a lot of trolls against Hill who are willing to attack any aspect of her image and business moves. That said, it's still probably not the best move for Hill to work with Morphe right now, or for Morphe to work with Hill, for that matter. Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics has a TON of work to do to win over its customers and to rebuild its reputation, which is severely mangled at this point. Working with Morphe — another brand with a bad reputation — doesn't seem like the best move to make as you work to establish yourself as the owner and face of a legitimate, trustworthy brand.
It's the same thing for Morphe. The brand already has a bad reputation with lots of beauty fans. Why work with a brand that has an even worse reputation at this moment? Let's hope that Jaclyn Hill focuses on rebranding her company and making her loyal fans satisfied with her next launch and return to social media.
