This woman’s Jeffree Star Cosmetics order allegedly arrived full of ants

Frequent buyers of Jeffree Star Cosmetics know how exciting it can be when an order from the brand arrives. Opening that Jeffree-pink box and unraveling the Jeffree-brand tissue paper to reveal a new lipstick or highlighter is enthralling.

Well, for most — but not for this person.

One Twitter user says when she opened her JSC order (she bought the Velour Liquid Lipstick in Daddy), she found an infestation of ants and larvae.

The ants, which she says she sprayed with Raid, littered the inside of the box and tissue paper, but were not present in the product packaging itself.

YouTuber Karina Kaboom wrote that after she posted this video, other JSC customers told her that they'd experienced the same problem.

Because JSC is independently owned and operated, it's likely the ants originated in its Los Angeles-based factory and shipping center.

Which raises a slew of concerns regarding the cleanliness and safety of the brand's products.

The Twitter user who posted the first photos tweeted to Star several times, but he has yet to address the issue.

It's likely that he hasn't been looking at his mentions while on a trip to St. Tropez with Jouer Cosmetics. There is no confirmation that Jeffree Star's customer service team has addressed the ants or issued a refund, either.

We'll keep you updated if Jeffree Star or his brand's team make statements regarding the ants.
