A man’s reaction to his wife’s shapewear has gone viral because he seemed to mistake the bodysuit for a baby’s onesie. In a video shared on Instagram, a man named Lewis can be seen having an unexpected reaction to his wife’s recent clothing purchase. After he opened the package, he started crying, thinking that his wife had pregnancy news to share with him.
Even when his wife explained that the bodysuit was shapewear, Lewis didn’t seem to understand.
“What’s this?” Lewis asked his wife, Andrea, while holding the beige shapewear. “This is mine,” Andrea told her husband.
Lewis continued to look at the shapewear and started getting emotional. Baffled by her husband’s reaction to the bodysuit, his wife asked, “Lewis! What?” Lewis smiled and started crying.
His wife asked him why he was crying.
Meanwhile, Lewis told Andrea that he was “waiting for (her) to say something.” He added that he didn’t “know what to think” and was clearly still emotional. “This is for you, right?” he asked his wife for clarification. Even though she explained that it was for her, however, Lewis continued to cry.
Lewis then asked his wife if she was pregnant.
Still crying, Lewis asked, “Are you pregnant?” Andrea didn’t seem to know what her husband was talking about. “What?!” she responded. “No. What do you mean am I pregnant?” When her husband gestured to the shapewear bodysuit once again, Andrea reiterated that it was hers.
‘Do you know what a Skims is?’ she asked her husband.
Andrea evidently purchased the bodysuit from Kim Kardashian’s brand, Skims. But her husband was in denial. “That is not a Skims,” he said.
Because he still seemed unconvinced, Andrea showed her husband that the shapewear is definitely not for babies. “Why would they have a thong?” she asked him. She later added that “babies don’t have boobies.”
Eventually, Lewis realized his mistake and said he was an “idiot” for thinking Andrea was pregnant after seeing the bodysuit. When sharing the video on Instagram, Andrea joked that Lewis still seemed to think she was lying.
“I still don’t think he believes me, should I try it on to prove it?” she captioned the post.
In addition to being hilarious, many people thought Lewis’ reaction to the shapewear was “so pure” and “sweet.”
“THATS THE PUREST GUY ALIVE!” one person commented on Instagram. Another person wrote, “He needs to be protected at all costs.” And several more posted green flag gifs and told Andrea it might be time to give Lewis a baby!
