Around six months ago, I took the plunge and got my eyebrows microbladed, meaning I had tiny little lines semipermanently drawn into my brows with itty bitty needles.
These new brows of mine are designed to last up to two whole years, but touch-ups are encouraged after just six months. I've reached that point, so how well have they held up? Let's see.
For context, this is what my brows looked like pre-microblade.
Here's what they looked like immediately after my very first session.
In their first two weeks of healing, my new brows faded significantly. I was nervous they wouldn't last.
But thankfully, six months later, my brows are still going pretty strong.
They're not nearly as dark as they once were — I do fill them in or use brow gel on the days I want them to be even more bold — but they still maintain their shape well enough that I'm confident leaving the house without touching them (something I never thought I'd say).
Do I absolutely need a touch-up just yet? No.
Will I invest in one next year?
Signs point to "hell yeah."
