HipDot will release the limited-edition SpongeBob SquarePants cosmetics and skin-care collection in celebration of the animated character’s 20th anniversary.
Feeling a little old? Same. Yes, SpongeBob SquarePants first aired 20 years ago in 1999! The sea-themed show quickly stole our hearts with SquarePants' bubbly personality, Squidward's pessimistic attitude, Sandy Cheeks' adventurous appeal, and Patrick Star's goofy, aloof presence. We couldn't help but get caught up in Mr. Krabs' obsession with money and Plankton's obsession with stealing the Krabby Patty recipe.

"The HipDot x SpongeBob collection will include premium beauty products inspired by the global phenomenon and will feature vegan [and] cruelty-free makeup including an eyeshadow palette, a blush bronzer, lip glosses, and sheet masks that play on the iconic characters, colors, and creative spirit of the show," the brand shared. Curious about the prices? It appears that HipDot is taking all of the Mr. Krabs of the world into consideration because the prices of this SpongeBob SquarePants collection are pretty decent.
The eye shadow palette will cost $36. The blush/bronzer will retail for $18. And the trio lip gloss pack will cost $32, which is about $11 a lipstick. Shoppers can grab a pack of four sheet masks for just $20, which comes to only $5 a pop! Die-hard fans can score the entire bundle for $120!
Fans are already impressed with the collection's packaging.

Although it sucks when a brand nails packaging and then follow sup with a sub-par product, it's also kind of a downer when brands have really fun concepts and don't make the packaging as playful as the idea. If you're going to choose a theme as fun as SpongeBob SquarePants, then let the packaging and product quality match the quality of such an iconic, long-running show.
