We tried 4 red wine stain hacks — here’s the winner

Anyone who knows me knows I can barely get through a single day without spilling something on my shirt. After testing out the best hack for removing makeup stains, I've moved on to my second most frequent shirt stain: red wine.

Check out how four popular hacks actually fare against the most stubborn stain in all of the land.

SALT: The theory on salt is that it picks up the liquid and makes the stain easier to remove in the wash.

SHAVING FOAM: This has been proven (by me) to take out makeup stains better than bleach! I had to try it on red wine.

HYDROGEN PEROXIDE + DISH SOAP: People say this mixture gets out blood stains, so why not red wine?

TIDE TO GO: Every messy eater or perpetual coffee drinker has one of these in tow. But this tiny stick versus a giant wine stain kind of seems like David and Goliath.

SALT = FAIL. I had really high hopes for this one.

SHAVING FOAM = FAIL. Nice try, shaving foam, but stick to removing makeup.

TIDE = CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR. You came close, little guy.

PEROXIDE + DISH SOAP FTW! It takes two to tango and two ingredients to remove a wine stain, apparently.
