There are a lot of things I will do with my kid, but I admit, the thought of taking him to a trampoline park terrifies me. I wasn’t a huge fan of trampolines as a child, mainly because a certain level of unpredictability comes with jumping, as fun as it is. But these places are terrifying on a whole different level. First of all, anything that requires you to sign a safety waiver is cause for concern. And now that I’ve seen a video, that has only reinforced my fears. A young woman took the child she was babysitting out for some fun, and the video she shared will and should scare most of us.
The video is definite nightmare fuel if you’re afraid of heights.

Payton Haack posted the video on her TikTok. She can be seen sliding onto what looks like a woven mat. “A 5-year-old recorded this🙏,” she captioned the post.
“Hold my glasses, I’m kinda scared again,” Haack can be heard saying. She then guides herself onto the mat, and suddenly she can be heard screaming as she drops out of the frame. Haack also wrote, “These things need a weight limit, I basically just fell 15 feet with nothing stopping me.”
Immediately, people had a lot of things to say about the fall.

“This exact same thing happened to me as a teenager. Thankfully a 10-year-old broke my fall at the bottom,” one person commented on the post.
One TikToker suggested that it was a design flaw by the trampoline park, saying “that mesh is not down right either. It’s supposed to be woven in a manner as to not have 15 floors of open holes stacked atop one another.”
“This was me when I jumped into the foam pit. I was expecting to float on top of the foam cubes like my kids did but I went straight to the bottom instead,” someone else shared in the comments. “The way the kid didn’t react at all I think is what got me the most 🤣🤣🤣🤣”
Commenters had a lot to say about visiting those death traps.

“Oh this is why they make the whole family sign the waivers😭,” someone wrote.
This caused a whole flurry of replies in the video’s comments section.
“Girl yess, these trampoline parks are a liability. I used to work at Urban Air and this man came up to me asking if we had some sort of nurse on staff because his daughter dislocated her arm 😫,” one former employee revealed.
Another person chimed in, sharing, “Man whaa!! I’ll jump on the trampoline, but that’s IT. I ain’t doing allat extra [stuff] because I’ve heard and saw too much.😭😩.”
“Oh same here, we had a kid do a flip and had ems arrive and now nobody is allowed flips and they push waivers where nobody can buy a ticket unless one is signed first,” someone else chimed in.
Haack shared that the video is scarier than the actual experience.

“I was okay when I landed,” she told Storyful, which was shared by People. “I was just startled by the way the straps feel when they hit you on the way down and how quickly you fall.”
The incident took place at Soar N Bounce Trampoline & Adventure Park in Davenport, Iowa, on March 23, 2026. The attraction is called the Spider Tower, which makes sense given how it’s designed. Haack also shared that she was caught off guard by the sensation, which is what led to the startled scream captured in the video.
I’m glad she’s fine, but I’m still never trying something like this.
