Police had a scathing message for a Florida couple who were recently arrested. The couple was arrested after allegedly neglecting their toddler in their car to drink at a bar. Police made it clear they were very wrong. Not a lot of details have been released about the incident, but we’re obviously shaking our heads.
Despite the lack of information available to the public, it’s clear police will likely try to punish the Florida couple the best way they can. Hopefully, the pair will learn a lesson from their arrest and experience with the law.

On January 28, 2025, Edgewater Police Department officers responded to a call of a 2-year-old left alone in a car. The car was unlocked, and it was believed the little one had been in the car for hours, WESH reported.
According to the arrest affidavit, a witness reported hearing “screaming coming from a Honda SUV.” The person called police, and officers found the child crying in the car when they arrived. The little one’s face allegedly had dried mucus and tears on it, which would lead someone to believe the crying had been going on for some time.
The police report, shared by FOX 35 Orlando, stated that thankfully the car was not running. It was a cold night, however, and the child was not dressed for the weather and was cold to the touch.

Police went into Jan & Lib’s Hi-Tops Lounge and found the Florida couple, Kristina Vitucci and her boyfriend, Joshua Harris. They were inside drinking while the child was alone in the vehicle.
“So disgusting we don’t even have a caption …” Edgewater Police wrote in a Facebook post about the incident. “Do better.”
The couple were arrested on charges of child neglect, which is a felony. Additionally, Harris was arrested when he started getting “loud and aggressive.” Vitucci was detained because she “did not follow multiple commands to stop standing up and trying to walk away from the scene,” the police report stated.
WESH reported that Harris appeared in court on January 29. Minutes later, Vitucci joined the hearing from jail via Zoom.
The public defender representing the couple asked the judge to release them of their own recognizance or set their bond for $2,500, the news outlet reported. The judge did not release them and set their bond at $5,000.
