Mom Got a Bad Feeling at Work & Her Worst Fears Were Confirmed When She Checked the Nanny Cam

A Missouri mom is sharing her story after her infant was abused. Her mom instincts kicked in while she was away from home at work. Her young children were at home with their father, Kristopher Wallace, and she knew something was off. Thankfully, the mom had security cameras in her house and immediately checked the footage. What she saw would horrify anyone. I can’t even imagine what was going through her mind as she saw her child being mistreated. Now, she’s fighting for justice.

Allahja Jackson was at work on November 14, 2025, and she knew that something was seriously wrong, she told First Alert 4. “I just had been having this feeling for about a week that something was just not right, so I have Blink cameras in my house and I decided to check the cameras,” she explained.

Jackson could hear the 6-month-old crying but couldn’t see her or her father, but what she saw next made her start screen recording.

“I saw him throw her onto the couch,” she said of Wallace, per the outlet. Seeing his actions prompted her to start recording and leave work immediately.

According to a report from WCNC, a probable cause affidavit stated Wallace threw the girl on the couch and roughly flipped her onto her front. He then pressed her face into the cushion. Her cries stopped while she was face-down in the cushion, but she could be seen struggling to be free.

Police said Wallace flipped her back over before putting his hand on her mouth and neck.

Jackson decided to watch more videos after seeing the first one. “And then later when I discovered four more videos of him just strangling her … more sobbing,” she said, per WCNC. She explained that she and Wallace had been in a relationship for five years before ending it. She believes that Wallace attacked their baby to get back at her.

“I think it’s because I ended our relationship a few months ago,” she said. “There is never any reason to hurt a baby or a child. I just don’t understand any of it. I will never understand.”

Wallace was arrested and charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held without bond.

In Jackson’s mind, the charges aren’t strong enough based on what she saw in the video footage. “I don’t think that’s enough, I don’t think this is an endangerment situation, endangerment is leaving a kid in the car by themselves,” she told First Alert 4. When speaking to WCNC, she called Wallace’s actions “abuse.”

Thankfully, the little girl had no physical injuries.

After Wallace’s alleged actions, Jackson knew that she needed to keep herself and her children safe. She has started a GoFundMe account to help her do so.

“I left my children with their biological father, trusting they would be safe,” she wrote on the page. “I am terrified that he could be released at any time. My priority is to get myself and my children far away from him to ensure our safety. We urgently need to move across the country, but the costs are overwhelming.”

Jackson also explained that she needs to pay back a bonus given to her by her job as well as for breaking her lease. So far, the fundraiser is about halfway to its modest goal.
