Police provided more information about where they might be going.

According to the LAPD, all three of them were last seen on East Huntington Drive in Los Angeles. The 15-year-old girl, Sanaii, has reportedly reunited with her family since then, NBC News reported on Tuesday, August 27. Police say that the missing 14-year-old girl and her newborn "are believed to be headed to the high desert area with family."

Police provided a description of the missing children.

In the news release, police described Amoria as a 14-year-old Black girl with black hair and brown eyes. She is about 5'4" and weighs approximately 140 pounds. When she was last seen, she was wearing a multi-colored shirt, gray shorts, and gray sandals, per the news release.

The newborn baby has a heart condition.

Police also noted that the newborn baby's health is a concern. Omoria reportedly has a heart condition that requires her to be given medication daily. Amoria’s guardian, Raquel Brown, has reportedly spoken to Amoria, who informed her that she and her baby are both OK, per NBC. However, Raquel still doesn't know where they are.

Raquel said 'it’s just a lot right now.'

Raquel is hoping that the newborn baby will be OK. "It’s just a lot right now; trying to take it all in, trying to process it," Raquel told NBC. "I just want the baby to be OK."

She added that Amoria is "not a bad mom." "I’m not going to say that she’s bad. She’s young. I can’t just expect her to change overnight, so I do want to make that clear, but I’m here to help," she continued.

Anyone who has information is asked to contact detectives.

As Amoria and Omoria are still missing, the LAPD asks anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact Detective J. Rider at (213) 479-2827 or call 911. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
