Mom & Former Gymnast Goes Viral With Impressive Kitchen Floor Routine

If she puts her mind to it, a mom can do just about anything. We've watched plenty of mamas perform miracles in the kitchen with just a handful of ingredients or redecorate a whole house on a shoestring budget. Never mind all the moms who climb the corporate ladder or launch their own businesses while raising kids. Tell a mom she can't do something, and she'll be the first one to say, "Hold my coffee."

Breanne Allarie is a mom from Vancouver, British Columbia, who has caught a bit of Olympic fever in the last few days. It's hard not to get excited, particularly with the incredible things we've seen happening in gymnastics. Allarie decided to perform a gymnastics routine in her kitchen, and the results went viral.

She wasn't starting from scratch.

A lot of us who suddenly have Olympic medal dreams have zero training or business trying to show off our skills, but that's not the case with Allarie. She is a trained gymnast, but it's been a few years since she's been on the mat. She explained to Today that the Olympics got her excited again.

"I was in intense gymnastics competitively until I was about 14 years old," she recalled. "Originally, I really wanted to go to the Olympics. And then as I got older, I was like, 'OK, maybe not the Olympics, but a full-ride scholarship.' That was the goal."

But a fall changed her career aspirations.

She told Today that she injured her back, which ended her gymnastics career. In addition to gymnastics, she and her husband worked as professional dancers on cruise ships and at Tokyo Disney. She gave up performing when she had her children, who are now 6 and 4, but she still gets the bug from time to time, hence her viral gymnastics routine.

Allarie's moves are pretty darn impressive.

Sure, her video garnered some laughs because it's a mom doing gymnastics in a swimsuit in the kitchen, but there are some technical skills people don't quite understand.

"That's the one where I jump into the air and you pretty much land flat," she told Today. "Everybody was like, 'Why are you doing a belly flop?' But it's actually a legit gymnastics move called the Shushunova."

Allarie actually held back a bit.

In her video, she says that she wanted to try a back flip, but her husband told her it wasn't the best idea.

"I feel like I could have done a back flip….I would also like to say they make it look so much easier than it is. @olympics on repeat over here,'" she captioned her video.

People loved the mom's routine.

Of course, they were impressed by her skills. Her video has been viewed nearly 39 million times on Instagram.

Someone wrote, "Simone Biles has been real quiet since you dropped this. "

This person joked, "If my future man is not putting up with my shenanigans like this .. I'm throwing the whole man in the rubbish bin "

They also love her supportive husband. "You are all of us! also hubby's "that was better than I thought it would be ," another comment reads.
