A Florida mom of three was shot and killed while in bed with her children early last year. Authorities say the woman, 30-year-old Porshe Nikita Shanee’ Streeter, was shot 10 times on January 23, 2024, and her boyfriend, Saun Rainge, 32, was immediately considered to be a suspect. His alleged accomplice, Benjamin Garmon, 26, was also involved, though at the time, authorities could not prove that Rainge’s claims of a home invasion were false.
Although Rainge was eventually charged with shooting and killing Streeter, none of the three children, who were 1, 2, and 10 years old at the time, was harmed in the fatal shooting at the Orange County home. According to reports, the two men attempted to stage the crime as a home invasion, Fox 35 Orlando reported. They called the police afterward, but Rainge and Garmon were both eventually arrested in connection with the crime. Streeter died on the scene.
According to an affidavit, per Fox 35 Orlando, Streeter and Rainge’s relationship was known for having public highs and lows. Although Rainge did not live at Streeter’s home, where she was shot and killed, he was often there. One theory authorities had at the time of Rainge’s arrest was that he might have killed Streeter over a custody dispute over their children. He was their father, CBS 12 reported.
On April 3, 2025, both Rainge and Garmon were arrested and charged with first-degree murder, more than a year after the crime. Authorities shared on social media that it was part of a murder-for-hire plot that Rainge allegedly arranged with Garmon to kill his girlfriend.
“Rainge, the father of those children, enlisted Garmon to shoot and kill Porshe, and claimed it was a home invasion,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Department shared in an Instagram post. “Rainge’s story didn’t [ring] true for our homicide detectives, who have worked tirelessly on this case for more than a year to secure justice for Porshe.”
Following the crime, a memorial was set up outside of Streeter’s home, where her photo, flowers, and lit candles sat. One of her close friends shared in an Instagram post, in which she tagged Streeter, “Thinking About You And The Days We Used To Share, Its Driving Me Crazy And I Don’t Know What To Do… I Miss You,” followed by a heart emoji.
Prior to Streeter’s death, she ran a hair salon out of her apartment, and her Instagram is still full of photos of her work and her progress as a hairstylist. She also occasionally shared content about her children.
