Mom Hiding Gun in Her Purse Threatens Fast Food Employees Over Missing French Fries

Fast food can be convenient, but mistakes happen. Opening your fast food bag at home to realize that you didn’t get what you ordered is disappointing. A mom in San Pablo, California, recently checked her order from a local fast food restaurant before leaving the parking lot and realized that the french fries she ordered were not in the bag.

Instead of politely pointing this out to employees, she ended up threatening them with a gun.

The mom first sent her kids inside to complain about the missing fries.

When the kids went inside the restaurant to tell employees that they didn’t get every item they ordered, an employee told the kids to come back with the receipt, reported KTVU. The kids went back outside to tell their mom about what happened. However, they did not return to the fast food joint.

Instead, the mom went inside and threatened employees.

When the mom entered the restaurant, she allegedly threatened several employees because of the missing fries. She warned them that she had a gun on her, prompting them to call the police. According to San Pablo police, the mom had a loaded pistol in her purse.

Police confirmed that there was a pistol in the mom’s purse, and she was arrested. She faces charges of criminal threats with a firearm and child endangerment. When the mom was taken to jail, the children’s dad picked them up, per KTVU.

Threatening employees clearly did not work out in her favor.

Presumably, the mom threatened employees because she was upset about the mistake and wanted her missing fries.

However, as police pointed out, she was never able to get the fries she ordered due to the threat she made. “She had to wait even longer for her food, which unfortunately was a sandwich and milk rather than a hamburger and fries,” police said, per the Myrtle Beach Sun News.

Others have made similar threats.

In this particular incident, the fast food restaurant has not been named. However, similar incidents have happened at various fast food restaurants around the country. In April, a man threatened a Wingstop employee with a gun in Memphis, Tennessee, because he got impatient while waiting for his order. Per Fox 13, the man allegedly became angry after learning that his order was not ready yet. He then left the restaurant, went outside and returned with a gun.
