Kyron Horman attended a science fair at Skyline Elementary School in Portland, Oregon, on June 4, 2010. That morning, the happy 7-year-old wore a t-shirt, cargo pants, and his metal-framed glasses. Sadly, Kyron’s family never saw him again. He disappeared that day, and loved ones have been desperately searching for him since. Kyron’s case made it back in the news recently, but not because investigators found him. Sadly, there may be a connection between the boy and the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
News Nation reported that Kyron’s name appeared in the US Department of Justice’s files on Jeffrey Epstein. In 2019, someone using an IP address in Canada reportedly made an anonymous tip about potential sex trafficking in Ontario. The tipster alleged a connection between Kyron’s sudden disappearance and Epstein.
According to the anonymous tip, an “extensive day care/adoption ring” existed in Thornhill, Ontario, and Epstein visited the area with his hair dyed brown as a disguise. The source claimed high-profile disappearances such as Madeleine McCann and Haleigh Cummings also have a link to Epstein.
Kyron’s mother, Desiree Young, shared in an email with KOIN that there is no connection between the Epstein files and her missing son. Per News Nation, Terri Horman, Kyron’s stepmother, claims she last saw him at the science fair. According to her, she took his photo before she left, and he went to class. But Kyron’s teacher never saw him and marked him absent that day. Young claims witnesses saw Kyron and his stepmother leave together.
“They were seen out in front of the school by one of Kyron’s friends, his grandma and sister, as well as his bus driver,” Young shared, per the outlet. “They were walking out to the main road, which was where the truck was parked.”
Police never named any suspects formally in Kryon’s case, and loved ones still hope he is alive. People on the Missing Kyron Horman Facebook page continue to share photos of the boy to keep his name at the top of people’s minds. They hope that one day Kyron will come home.
“Kyron’s Mother, family and the community are committed to continuing the search for Kyron and bringing justice to those responsible for what happened on June 4th 2010. Kyron’s case remains open & active,” a post on the page reads.
Having a child missing is a pain no parent deserves. Putting a child’s name in the same sentence as Epstein’s is a true nightmare. We can’t help but understand why Kyron’s mom vehemently denies the validity of that anonymous tip; no one wants their child associated with that kind of depravity. We sincerely hope she’s right.
